‘downsizing’ Member 5704, 3347 posts SQ 280, BP 210, DL 320810.0 kgs @ 96.3kgs UnEq | I never get anything like those weight gains off creatine. I did find that low carb phases of my own diet led to mild but paradoxical water retention issues (e.g. looking 'bloofier' one day to next) - believe this is caused by general cortisol rises due stress of being in a deficit without carbs. Lyle McDonald goes on about it here: http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/fat-loss/of-whooshes-and-squi... I didn't ever see full on 'whooshes' just randomly fluctuating water retention levels. dandelion root and periods in a sauna/ hot bath are very good for subQ water btw

The weight/water gains from creatine vary massively from person to person anecdotally. I imagine larger people with larger muscle volume and higher bodyfat will hold a higher weight of water proportionately so maybe a few kg isn't so drastic, especially considering I can drop a good 3-4kg in mere days through water. Weight is dropping now, back to 132.5 and hopefully lower still tomorrow. Theoretically I must still be dropping BF in the meantime due to the diet so perhaps I myself will experience a 'woosh' and drop a load of weight suddenly. I eat a lot of meat Member 5124, 3003 posts SQ 245, BP 130, DL 275650.0 kgs @ 105kgs UnEq | I added in psyllium husk pre bed each night, about 10g mixed up with some sugar free squash and down it... It clogs up super quick and can be a whore to drink, but sweet jesus of brown town, the dumps the next day where spectacular!

Yes and of course I know this 100%, just annoying knowing full well you've temporarily robbed of your new aesthetic gains by stupid bloody water retention ha. That said I saw even more definition coming through in certain areas today so can't all be bad. I'll just knock the creatine on the head and persist. Atleast that way I know any fluctuation in water retention is likely to be carb related/manipulated.

Think 3g/day at most. I can only imagine what 10g does! haha

I recommend the track - Slut Machine Member 6043, 957 posts SQ 350, BP 195, DL 350895.0 kgs @ 150kgs UnEq | Bit of an all sorts session today, very random. Trap bar deadlift, up to 310kg. Box jumps up to 42" Axle deadlift doh 100kg reps/holds Bicep/Tricep BB stuff Much contemplation whether to break the gym record for 6 second max power on the Wattbike but decided to leave it for a day when my legs were fresh.

I took some laxatives 2 days before my comp to help clear the body out... It would seem that taking 3 times the suggested dose because I'm a geezer was a terrible idea. s**tting out a lung and every ounce of poop in my body was a horrific process! I had to take the day off work as I was dying via my balloon knot.

Sensational trap bar deads though. More there you think? Ta mate! Attempted 320kg but was just a bit too tired. It's an awkward lift for me just because of my leverages, the start lies in a but if a dead spot. It relies very very heavily on leg drive to get it started and really loads up the hamstrings and tests the core. I plan on using it often now as I think it could be really valuable to work on weak spots in my conventional deadlift, especially teaching you to get behind the bar, drop the hips and use the legs more. The box jumps were just a f**k about, I don't plan on doing them too often

I'm going to see how long I can ride this one out for and try for a record streak, certainly won't be having a massive refeed next time or using creative in a hurry
