Loal. Do you have a front squat PB?

I do not, mostly because I cannot maintain the rack position correctly without seriously pissing my shoulder off Unhappy

5 Warmup sets
210 x 3
225 x 2
238 x 1
225 x 3
238 x 2
252 x 1
238 x 3
252 x 2
265 x 1

All sets of 2//3 were with straps and beltless
All singles were raw alternate grip with belt.

I have found that wearing a belt hinders me for anything over a single rep as it crushes the wind out of me due to my crisp based Insulina gut. Therefore today I did doubles and triples beltless and it felt much easier than with a belt.

Did some seated calf stuff in a pitiful attempt to achieve glorious Magnusson calf status however this will likely never happen loal

Majestic!

RE the Belt... I know the feeling, and I still can't get used to wearing a proper belt for deads. I have tried various placements with it too and nothing... Low, high, in the middle. I just can't seem to get anything from it and it kills me on anything above 1 rep. I'm so obese.

I usually wear my soft neoprene rehband belt (Not the strongman one, the model below it) and that is only for warmth.

Squats

Felt a bit meh tonight as first time squatting in a few weeks, knew it would feel heavy.

170 x 5
180 x 4
193 x 3
180 x 4
193 x 3
205 x 2
193 x 3
205 x 2
215 x 1

Nothing spectacular.

On a positive note I have found a monolift and a coach also, I hear very good things about him and it would appear he has been helping the likes of Benni train so that says it all really

Deadlift - Volume

Working sets:
195 x 5
210 x 4
225 x 3
210 x 4
225 x 3
238 x 2
225 x 3
238 x 2
253 x 1

All were beltless and with straps barring the single at the end which was belted and raw grip.

I made a video of varying angles, it's how my volume lifting will look for the next few weeks.

In b4, 'you dropped the bar on the last set', i know, it was deliberate Wink

Some very explosive lifting there, and your speed off the floor is immense. A lot of deads there, all very enjoyable.

Cheers mate, going beltless has made a big difference, always thought I needed a belt to be explosive off the floor but back seems to be doing well without.

Squat and Bench @ Absolute Fitness

So first go in a Monolift today Happy verdict.. really enjoyed it.

This was a coached session with a very experienced coach.

Squats, SBD sleeves
60 x few
100 x 5
140 x 1
140 x 2
180 x 1
180 x 2
200 x 1
200 x 2
220 x 1
220 x 3 - Rep PB
230 x 1
240 x 1

Amazing the difference having good support made from spotters etc. Felt good for more. Have been invited to join in on the group sessions and I really think it could help take my squatting to the next level as I've only ever trained alone. I am told there are some well known and respected monsters often taking part in the group sessions too, so great for inspiration and motivation.

Bench,

Basically a couple of tweaks to my bench technique however the verdict was my bench is poverty given my weight/chest size. Hopefully this will make progress also.

50 x 5
80 x 5
100 x 5
120 x 5
140 x 3+1 grinder - Rep PB

All in all very pleased with today, monolift nowhere near as tricky as I anticipated, progress made and a lot more to come.

You'll put s**t loads on your squat training with a group of beasts - I went from 240kg euros to 290kg Brits training at Ralls - in less than 5 months.

50kg is massive, 10kg a month is just ridiculous progress, gives me much hope
