As per DOH thread of love:

DOH Deadlift (chalk, okie bar)

60 x many
100 x few
140 x 2
180 x 1
200 x 1
225 x 1 - PB Woooooooo
180 x 10 - Rep PB and didn't even reach anywhere near failure, grip is getting stronger for sure.
200 x 1.5 - got cocky but nothing left loal

Curls and forearm work.

Squats today, low reps for a change.

Worked up to 230 and 240 for triples. In a big deficit and carb depleted. I'm gonna be strong as f**k on the comeback!

Thank you both chaps. With the 'weight' of competition off my shoulders I'm definitely enjoying it more. If I can come back sub 125 and squat/pull 300 I'll be ecstatic Happy

Attempted 170 DOH Axle today which didn't go as planned.

I discovered that bringing my hands in closer to get my grip directly under the shoulders worked far better but unfortunately it was too late and my grip was too fatigued so the best i managed was just past my knees before grip went.

Axle DOH Singles

63/83/103/123/143/ 170f (about 5 times loal) then 143 for a few.

Axle Alternate Grip Singles

143 / 163 / 183 / 203 / 223 / 253 - this was about my limit but pretty happy with that

Lots of grip stuff going on. Mixed grip on an axle is unpleasant on the back I found. I did 240 x 3 axle dead lifts (standard height) in a comp in 2009 and don't recall grip being a problem. I'm sure you could hold onto a lot more than 253 fresh.

Ta Wayne, yes I think I'd manage more if I hadn't been messing about with DOH stuff first.

Haven't tried Coc or extender bands but certainly would if I had them at my disposal

I just had a heavily seasoned chicken breast (180g cooked weight) with 100g of mozzarella melted on top, 50g of pepperoni on top of that, and some mayo all over it with a hint of hot sauce.
