Thanks Today was supposed to be bench but it was pretty s**t. Elbows are back to their old tricks and I can only assume this has to do with the last 2 bench sessions been after a squat day. Worked up to 150 but it was not pretty and I had to fight pain all along, not at all enjoyable. I'm going to have to miss next bench session, up the joint support supplements and get some icing/stretching going on. Not really what I need this close to comp | ||

I recommend the track - Slut Machine Member 6043, 957 posts SQ 350, BP 195, DL 350895.0 kgs @ 150kgs UnEq | Bugger My body is tired, certainly not the worst possible time to get fatigued but certainly not the best 7 weeks out. I know I can already hit what I need in comp so no worries there about having to gain strength. I tried deadlifting today, it was a chore, my arms and shoulders were in a world of pain, my speed was shocking my mind was not in it, I need a week off for some R+R. I will use the time to practice mobility, stretching, icing, epsom salt baths, load up on Cissus, Hyaluronic acid and some quality omegas. I may even get my skirting board painted and end the 6 month long saga that has been decorating my living room. | ||

Talk about something training related and then go off on a tangent about skirting boards or something as if it is still relevant. From this i yielded much enjoyment indeed. Keep going hard at training for next 3 and start tapering volume off 4 weeks out and then intensity as well significantly about 2 weeks out. You'll reap the rewards come competition day. | ||

Arms feeling at 95% this is good. Paused bench 120 x 3 128 x 2 135 x 1 128 x 3 135 x 2 143 x 1 135 x 3 142 x 2 153 x 1 - Heaviest I have gone in training and it moved, fast. High incline paused bench 60 x 5 80 x 5 100 x 5 for 3 sets Tricep assistance stuff. | ||

So, so much win tonight, not only were we lifting on THE deadlift bar that the WR was set on last year, we were sharing the platform with Eddie, Big Tel and Donna Moore, f**king awesome. Loal, Benni is the gyms resident superstar and is in there most nights and joins in on a lot of the group squat/deadlift sessions. The gym is daz saddlers and the base for the whole giants live, giants pro thing and so quite often there's big names kicking about like tonight, the support and atmosphere is incredible. | ||
