Thanks for the lovely squat video comments all. I have probably spent too much time on here watching all of you lot squatting, whereas The Mighty Telamicus does actually peruse bodybuilding.com. A triumph for the wonders of Sugden! Happy

I'll never know whether I could have got that bench or not. I think he assisted, but whether or not it was necessary, I'll never know. Anyway, f**k it. I'll get it another time.

In other news, the owl is delighted to get her talons on as many hunky sets of thighs as possible. I can't stop her hooting!

And finally...
Did a bit of kettlebell on the balcony, then tried that f**king horrible dumbbell snatch thing all of you crazy kids have been going on about lately. Unhappy

Just wanted to check what condition my conditioning was in... Apparently not very good. Unhappy

15kg of plates plus light bar and collars might nearly make somewhere about the 16kg mark.

I did 60 and was nearly sick. Unhappy
I partly blame the owl for making us drink a bottle of Vodka the night before, but most of the blame has to rest with me being a badly conditioned bender. I'll give it another go soon. It is f**king horrible though.

I think I'm a bit scared of failing them to be honest. I'll hopefully have a go next time I'm in Luton with the Ed, James, Matt contingency. I'd have more confidence in their spotting abilities.

i think the 13th should be overhead followed by squats(during which you will hit a massive new pb)then strongman shennanigans.

It was horrible, it made me want to cry and I only did 60! Unhappy I'm going to have another go this week though. Without a hangover and not straight after smoking a tab. It'll still be s**t.
The plan for the 13th sounds simply magnanimous!! Grin

haha! I don't think anyone needs be concerned about losing to me. My only goals are to get through the day without having a heart attack, needing a lung transplant, or any medical attention whatsoever and most of all having a laugh. I'm sure we'll all have a most splendid time! Happy

Tonight's training.
I was in a horribly negative mood today, due to a most depressing lack of funds so far from pay day. I had to take half a day's leave when I found out in case I cried, or killed someone. Either would have been bad.
Anyway, I dragged my (rather fetching) ass back to the gym to meet up with The Mighty Telamicus, who incidentally doesn't feature in tonight's production.

Srict press & 1 clean
Bar x8
Bar x6
40kg x4 (Did a power clean for this one... Don't know why)
50kg x3
60kg x1
Push Press & 1 clean
65kg x1 (although it looks quite strict on the video)
70kg x1
75kg x1 (not sure what this was, as my geisha-like feet left the floor... Does that have another name?)

Telamicus was having trouble with the cleans, so we decided to practice them lots after dropping the weight back down a bit.
50kg x3
50kg x8
50kg x stopped writing them down...

Then did floor to overhead each rep
50kg x5
50kg x6
50kg x5
50kg x5

Then a s**t load of cleans at 40kg, some more clean & press and some more floor to overhead.

3 gay sets of leg raises and it was done... Back to reality. Unhappy

A bit of John Shuttleworth in the video, in case anyone missed it the 'Margarine' thread.

Any tips, criticism etc as ever is always welcome. My over head is piss flaps and needs to improve massively.
