Yesterday workout.

Bench,
touch and go,
20*7, 40*5, 60*3, 80*3,
belt on,
90*1,
100*5, 5, 5, 5, 5,
5kg 5*5 pb,
belt helps massively for unknown reasons, tightness probably,

paused bench,
100*1,
nice and quick.
Plan is to work up to bench max soon. 115/120 is aim. Paused. Ambitious probably.

Deadlifts,
60*5, 100*3, 120 *3,
mixed grip, 140*2,
old belt on,
160*2, 180*1, 200*1,
220*1, **** Yea. Small amount more there as well tbh........
Deadlift 227.5kg *f,
lol, had to try 500lbs.

Db bench.
20*5, 32.5*10, 10, 10, 5f,

db row, (super strict)
42.5*10, 10, 10 that'll do

Do deficits with no more than 180 for a while and lots of rows think fast thoughts don't think of the weight explode out of the bottom mate and I think you will pull 240 in 4-5 months

Ooooo, interesting. My current plan is to drop to 180kg and hit some volume work then work back up in the weight.

Db rows or barbell rows?

New tightness technique and tighter belt hole second rep.
Trying to breath in deep and really push on the belt.

Press Seated,
20*5, 40*4, 60*2,
belt on,
70*2, 60*8, 5,
belt off,
50*5, 5, 5 meh, feel bad, rough stomach.

Shrugs,
40kg dbs*lots,

bench paused,
20*5, 60*3,*80*3, 100*1,
XL blue slingshot on, paused,

120*1, 1, first not paused so repeated.

All rows I use barbell rows personally but I don't train in a gym with dumbells but I'd suggest barbell and Pendley rows even shrugs at my best form I could shrug 240kg for 6's and row 120kg for 10's pretty strict but the best asset and most under used deadlift tool is speed work and the "power of positive thought" I don't give a f**k wots on the bar It's not a case of weight it's a case of how fast I pull it cos I'm gunna

Was very unhappy with this at the time but feeling better about it now.

Was feeling rough that day and still hit a new 1RM Squats Weight for a double.

Plan is to max next week at 190 then reset.

Some very nice sessions recently. I agree with Vausie about using lighter weights on deads and working on speed. I'd only gone as high as 200kg for reps when I first pulled 227.5. Staying away from tough grinding reps helps a lot in the long run.

Yeah totally I never went above 220 x 3 on my build up to 272 I mainly stuck around 180 and used heavy block pulls

struggling to unrack the bar,I just push it away. wtf...

Deadlift,

feel terrible , really tough even during last warm up. Wanted more reps but form was bad and reps were slow.

Db bench,
17.5*5,
32.5*10, 2 lightheaded.
20*10,

Cba'd at this point.
