Entering an Intermediate u80kg comp next June. Weights are HEAVY but gives me something good to aim for.

100kg Farmers
250kg Yoke
MAx Trap Bar Deads
Seated rope pulls + sled drag
Lift and Load Medley
Mystery Event

Not done Farmers or Yoke anywhere near that tbh but reckon i can get up to it in time.

Same place as the u80kg Beginners event i'm entering in March but gives me a few months of improvement.

HAve been known to rush my descent but descent on third rep of second set was so slow i ended up just pausing it then having no chance. Didn't even try, Just dumped it from the pause position.
Did a stupid 70kg Frontie off the low rails for fun after failing.
(About two inches below my usual ATG frontie position, i pretend it's good for loading)

Lift Off
190kg*30 secs,
heavy. Just getting used to heavy weights for Yoke.

Press
20*8, 30*5, 40*4, 50*1,
55*5, 50*5, 5, 5,
That feel when deload then fail the reps. f**k this s**t.

just got third lockout, didn't hold it long though, Would probably fail in comp.

Ran out of time and had to run for train. Not having my motorbike is a pain in the ass. (It's broken and in the garage atm)

Would have been a 0.5kg 5RM if i made it.

This flew up. Should have gone for the double but i cba'd. Only did this as was waiting for a deadlift bar.

I was just in a crappy mood at that point. Have done 126 for a double and singles at 128 before and fsiled 120 today.
Was almost passing out for some reason. f**k knows why. That's why i called it a day.

Nah, no vid today. The 196 was ugly/slow this week but i wanted it since i felt crap after the fronties.

The 195 last week was quick in comparison.

Will maybe grab a vid next Dedlift session.

Also, am going to a starting strength pulling camp in London soon.
Not this weekend but the weekend after. Will be awesome as my form currently sucks.

Keg Clean and Press
40kg*20 over ages.
They had a 40 or 80 so practiced with the 40. The press was easy but the clean was a pain since it had to be fast to move the sand inside then it basically smashes you in the neck. He's making a 60kg keg though so next time I go it will be there.
Did about 20 presses overall. Was practising walking/pressing then walking/pressing etc.

Axle Deadlifts. Grip was easy.
Worked up to singles at 140, 150, 160 and 165.

Upper Back Was rounding on heavy one. Stopped as grip was my original worry and was fine. Reckon i'm good for 180 tbh. Dunno where grip will fail but 165 was easy.

Farmers.
80kg for four 20m runs.
Fairly quick tbh but the big 20kg plate kept hitting each other. Tough on the grip. Have holes in hand right now. Would say it was 10-15 seconds

Yoke
110kg*40m
150kg*40m
200kg*20m runs.*2

Very tough on the legs after everything else but no put downs. Could probably do heavier but gonna stick at these weights and work on speed. Staggered start and belt was helping. Belt on yoke, forgot on farmers. ..

Also forgot to do arm over arm but we talked about it and said I just need to work on upper body endurance tbh. And strength. Mine sucks.

Not feeling perfect after heavy yoke Saturday but not too bad.

Took some kinetica prefuel as had been just sat at home all day and felt lethargic as hell.

Squats
20 * 8, 70*5, 100*2p,
belt on, 1st hole,
120*1, 130 * 1, 140*1,
150*5, went for 3 but easy, video, 5rm
155*3, 8kg 3rm pb, video. Last one very slow.

Happy with those. Getting closer to where they should be with my current beltless paused squats. ..

Press(5/3/1 for these 64kg training max)
20 *7, 30*5,
42*5, 48*5,
55*8, meh,


Wsm one arm press
30*3/3, 36*1,
42*1,
48*1, pb,
50*f, video, close
50*1, PB, video, got the lockout then almost threw db at cameraman

Have now done the biggest DB in my gym. Grin
Next target is the 60kg dumbell at the strongman gym i train at but the owner of the gym was failing it on saturday when i was there so it'll take me a while

cable rows with rope grip, for conditioning and rope grip maybe.

dat pump, lol. Super light curls ftw. Was told i should be doing high rep exercises for the arms to just strengthen the joints etc. Not sure if broscience but still good to do at the end.

155kg*3. THIS is more like it tbh.

8kg above my old belted triple PB.

Getting used to unpaused squats and belted squats again.

Done after the new 5RM. Very slow final rep. Think i even stop during it.

First attempt at 50kg DB. Fail at lockout. Don't quite drop down enough and don't have strength to press it out.




JUST giot the lockout on this. Almost close to dropping it on the head of the guy benching. Normally do it on platform but everyone was in Oly lifting so i didn't want to be annoying.

Thanks. It was due tbh since i had ignored belted squatting for ages so when i came back to it i hoped to hit some big numbers.

Need to get it up to 165*3 soon then make the wild jump for dat 4 plate squat.. Tongue
