Chaos - 135 log is satisfactory at best....need lots and lots of work, but will get there. No SAS Sunday I'm afraid

Robbo - thanks mate, I think I'll log 145+ this year if I stay healthy. I agree that the deads will be much better when fresh. As for confidence re ESM, I'm a realist, but will be balls out on the day, and anything can happen

Will - the 81KG was blanced fine TBH....fit nicely on my shoulder, just not strong enough at the mo'. Dumbell is improving rapidly though, so it's all good

Re the deadlifts, i just think the suit isn't great...the raw triple I pulled felt much better.

Smalls - thanks mate...pleasure as always Grin

General - its OK...will get better though

Mills - maybe not a bad event no, lol. Needs to get better though.

My back was very tired yesterday, but, this way, I can do a heavy(ish) 18" single with you on Sunday, which won't fatigue me too much for my heavy floor double on Tuesday, and then I can be fresh(ish) after 3 days rest to have a good go at 300KG form 14.5" Saturday Wink

Ian - its been very tough 18months - 2 years with the log...hopefully I can get back to my best sooner rather than later

Hixxy - thanks mate. Lockout used to be my strong point...but I cant press with any great consistency can I!?

I'm going to give 2+ times a week pressing a bash (and back off f shoulder starts going to s**t) though...if I can get my strict moving again, lockout will be great.

no mate and i now feel your pain - i can no longer press in the gym properly so opting to do log stricts instead of benching till such a time my shoulders are fully healed.
Get a slingshot maybe if you can do anything to replace bench?

Boards also iritate the shoulder, so slingshot will be similar I imagine. TBF, my shoulder (touch wood) has been a lot better the last 2-3 weeks.....long may it continue Grin

Thanks Ben. I was going to try 130 for reps from the chest (for our comp), but I seem to have forget how to do more than 1 rep from the chest!
