Yet another day in adders with lemonies jeff and andy doing awesome clean & jerks with 2x140 and 160 respectively before squatting big and pulling big, Fat Pete squatting crazy weights, Big Phil nailing an easy triple with 272.5, and rickster nailing pb fives - and this is supposed to be a start of a new training cycle!

Bar is always set high at that place!

1x127.5 - pb, but too easy. "put another 5 on"
fx132.5 - failed in the head, not in strength. Started leaving it in front, just not enough bottle to commit to it.
"do a light set", "how much?", "120" - WTF!
and placed the grip a touch wider
2x120 + f - third could be there if line was perfect, but not this time.
5x100 - wider grip still.

Getting into territory with the overhead weights that i cant rely on normal pressing strength to finish the lift. 132.5 failed really high, but just couldnt budge it - first time for me i think. New era for me. Need a new head.

These felt good.

Some crucifix holds, but left shoulder started to ache pretty bad.

Change of plans for the event training. Called the comp organiser and can go to their place to give the comp toys a go. Fingers crossed i can move the f**kers!

Excellent pushies tonight Joni, the 127 was ridiculous!!!! 132 was just missed through lack of commitment on getting under, you saw how high you missed it, no excuses next time!!! Wink

yeah pressing is going to plan at the mo, other lifts not as much. High hopes for deadlift session on wednesday tho (but: just learned from the boss i need to go to Leeds tmr so cant come to adders Unhappy )

Will, easy answer mate: its the gym or rather the people in there. When you train with mofos who put, or have put, so much overhead and actually know how to explain what to do, it does help Grin

left shoulder wrecked now tho, really sore, so will not do my strict pressing tomorrow for sure.
