See You Next Tuesday Member 2254, 3824 posts SQ 240, BP 165, DL 300705.0 kgs @ 89kgs UnEq | did some light power clean / overhead work to get ready for the comp on sat. strict press 60 - 8 60 - 8 60 - 8 60 - 8 single hand dumbell cleans to overhead 35 - 5 40 - 5 50 - 3 (each hand) 50 - 3 (each hand) 50 - 3 (each hand) olympic bar cleans 60 - 20 60 - 11 60 - 13 Done. Hopefully my stamina on the log cleans will be slightly improved. | ||

See You Next Tuesday Member 2254, 3824 posts SQ 240, BP 165, DL 300705.0 kgs @ 89kgs UnEq | First comp today! 5th/32 which isnt too bad, was hoping for 3rd during the day but made a few mistakes and a lack of experience. set off abit s**t which made the farmers wobble! not too bad considering i havent done it before. had a nitemare with the yoke! kept setting off too fast which made the yoke wobble. again, never done it before so it should get better! shoulda got first place on this but had the first rep disallowed so i came second. lack of experience again as i didnt wait for the good lift call wanted to try and nail them fast as i could did the best i could with the deadlifts, came 3rd i think. happy enough, should of got the 15th but slipped happy enough with the stones, but should of got 2 more, slipped a couple times and miss dropped one rep which sent it rolling away overall im happy, did well in the events ive trained, deadlifts, overhead, tyres and stone. and ill work on the yoke and farmers! | ||

Was a good experience for everyone, it was only my seconds use of strongman equipment so like you need more event work. I was very impressed with your power for your weight well done mate | ||

I have a fear of getting strong Member 911, 764 posts SQ 265, BP 170, DL 315750.0 kgs @ 108kgs UnEq | It was very close mate, Nick in 1st place was just little bit faster managed a rep more on stones snd tyre ( i had more reps in me but ran out of time) and quicker on farmers and yoke by couple of seconds, i think he managed to draw with me joint first on deads which i thought i had won with 17reps lol, a little more speed i think I could of had him lol, but he desreved the win. Keep it up mate will pop in to this log and keep track and hopefully see you again soon mate | ||

See You Next Tuesday Member 2254, 3824 posts SQ 240, BP 165, DL 300705.0 kgs @ 89kgs UnEq | terrible session today! should of rested after the comp on saturday realy, especially after working 12 hrs on sunday (as a scaffolder). but i was pumped from the comp and wanted to jump on the training waggon ready for the next comp! bench: 60 - 5 100 - 3 120 - 3 130 - 2 142.5 - 1 152.5 - 1 162.5 - 1 170 - f 170 - f 145 - 2 140 - 3 135 - 3 135 - 3 First time ive ever dropped below 140 on my down sets, i had nothing in my triceps at all, they didnt even hurt after the sesh they were so useless lol. i dont mind though. roll on next sesh! | ||
