Thought it would be a good time as I quit drinking last week and have managed to get back to rugby training a couple weeks ago after snapping my ACL, which took over a year to get over, with the waiting list and the op itself. My main aim is to put on some weight for rugby and to gain overall strength. Im currently 13.5 stone 5ft9ish, 21 years old. Im aiming for 14+ stone bodyweight, 270 deadlift, 130 overhead and 170 raw bench. Current stats: 13.5/14 stone 160/170 raw bench 240/270 deadlift 120/130 overhead Monday: chest tuesday: rugby training wednesday: legs + deadlift thursday: back friday: shoulders.

Was planning on doing some leg press but the machine was taken so went straight to leg extensions. level 15 - 8 level 16 - 8 level 15 - 8 level 15 - 8 Cant do much on the leg extensions as it still causes quite alot of pain around the knee cap. Overall happy with the PB and squats. Anything you can see that i might be able to change for more results?

See You Next Tuesday Member 2254, 3824 posts SQ 240, BP 165, DL 300705.0 kgs @ 89kgs UnEq | Deadlifts today, was hoping to set a new pb, but after squats yesterday I wasnt too hopeful! Also trying to work on my grip for farmers walk and such, (NS) means no straps. 60 - 8 (NS) 100 - 8 (NS) 140 - 8 (NS) 160 - 5 (NS) 180 - 3 (NS) 200 - 1 (NS) nearly dropped it! 220 - 1 245 - 1 (NEW PB BOOOM!) dropped to 180 180 - 8 180 - 7 180 - 6 Was a tough session, felt like I was going to die, but over the moon with finally getting over 240, which i've been stuck on for about a month now. CMON 250! Any advice? And is it normal for my legs and back to hurt for a good 4 days after ive trained them!?

Legs and back were killin me so again, wasnt too hopeful for any PBs, but I was sick of being stuck on 120 for like 3 weeks. Started with overhead press with the olympic bar. 60 - 8 80 - 8 90 - 3 100 - 3 110 - 1 120 - 1 122.5 - 1 (NEW PB, GET IN!!) 95 - 8 Incline dumbell press: 45kg - 8 45kg - 5 40kg - 8 I usually do 3 sets of 8 on the 45s and a set of about 5 on the 50s, but i put alot of effort into the overhead press and the gym was boilin hot which didnt help! Happy non the less! Dumbell side raises: 22.5kg - 8 22.5kg - 8 20kg - 8 Traps next. Reverse shrugs: 150 - 10 160 - 8 160 - 8 Front shrugs: 180 - 8 185 - 8 185 - 8 Overall buzzin from this weeks gym sesh, with 3 PBs in 3 days and an awesome bench session! Any tips?

Felt realy pumped for it today, was going for a new PB as last week went so well! unfortuantly my shoulders were still appeared f**ked after fridays sesh, my tris were s**t aswell, both gave in before my chest. Dropped down: 140 - 3 137.5 - 3 135 - 3 135 - 3 130 - 5 As you can see not as good as last week, but it was all down to my tris, packed in like there was no tomorrow, happy enough. Incline dumbell bench: 50kg - 8 50kg - 5 50kg - 5 45kg - 6 Cable cross overs level 6 - 8 level 6 - 8 level 6 - 8 pump set on peck deck 20 reps level 15. Why not just not get fat in the first place? Member 132, 1406 posts SQ 331, BP 200, DL 320851.0 kgs @ 98kgs UnEq | You snapped your ACL? Have you not been told to avoid leg extensions?

See You Next Tuesday Member 2254, 3824 posts SQ 240, BP 165, DL 300705.0 kgs @ 89kgs UnEq | Yeh, leg extensions is the last thing you get back to doing. I still get alittle bit of pain, but i only use a small amount of weight when I do them at the mo.

They are an almost useless exercise anyway and from what I've always been told post ACL replacement you should never do them again. The risk of snapping again is very high already it's just not worth going through it all again.

Why not just not get fat in the first place? Member 132, 1406 posts SQ 331, BP 200, DL 320851.0 kgs @ 98kgs UnEq | P.S. You also won't feel any pain before it goes again. There is no warning signs prior to it snapping again, they just snap. It also takes many months to remodel the tendon before it can become anywhere near as strong as the original ligament.
