People who are strong don't need plans JT and Cleggy, I do.

People who are strong don't need protein powder and creatine, I do.

I may alter it slightly and cut Monday's lockout work and put it on a Thursday to a) make sure I do the Thursday session and
b) cut Monday's session time down a bit to make sure the lockout work isn't rushed/missed as I need it. Will have to see how my shoulders take pressing 3x per week though, or just make careful exercise selections.

3 times a week is a lot of pressing. I suppose your body will tell you if it's too much though.

Mick only 1 roper overhead session though, one just maxing log and the other just lockout work so may not bee too severe on the shoulders - will have to try it and see...

JC - bring your tenner LOL

Joni - I intend to be bang on 105kg come the Englands, can't be getting beat by a load of fatties Grin

Wed 1/1 Adders!

Hurt my wrist on axle power cleans last week so no cleans tonight.

Front squats
40kg x 5,5
60kg x 3
80kg x 3
100kg x 3
110kg x 3
120kg x 3,3
100kg x 8

Above the knee rack pulls (rack height 6 at Adders)
115kg x 2
160kg x 2
205kg x 1
235kg x 1
255kg x 1
265kg x 1
275kg x 1
285kg x 1

Romanian deadlifts
140kg x 5
150kg x 5
160kg x 5
170kg x 5

Finished with a couple of sets of leg curls.

Not a bad first proper session back. Was more there on the rack pulls which is encouraging as it is an equal pb from that height and last time I used straps and it felt very heavy - this time I didn't and it didn't.

so do you rate pulling from above the knee then? I always thought the conventional wisdom was that its only ever worth pulling from below.

Cheers Mick, I reckon you'd do about 700kg from that height though.

Will - it's all part of The plan (Gillingham deadlift routine)

That's it - no questions, simply refer to The Plan. I don't have the answers - The Plan does.

Very nice rack work mate. I really like the look of the Gillingham routine personally, looks effective and fun!
