This - if you get in the ring with a half-decent boxer/thai boxer/kick boxer, who you outweigh by 30 kilos; prepare to get repeatedly punched in the face for the first month.

If you are lucky he may let you have a few digs at him - 95% of which will miss. The other 5% will have a negligible effect; as you will be blowing out of all ends.

brownbear said:Paul i am curious as to why you keep saying the reason you'll succeed is because you have lots of willpower and won't quit.

since this journal began, havent you tried boxing once and decided against it, tried cutting to 90s and quit, tried bulking to do the uk qualifiers this year and quit?

Keep saying it? I just said that once

There's huge difference between quitting and being in two minds about what competitions you want to enter because all the info on them is last minute. if you think i'm a quitter you don't know the first thing about me and i don't give a f**k what you think.

Sarah used to box at hook and jab where they have a proper female coach, her dad used to box as well. I wouldn't be cool with her doing it now with her back, plus she wasnt very good at it.

How would you ever learn boxing if you went 300 rounds without ever talking boxing?

Me

30 seconds rest between

Back squat (none stop reps)
- bar x 50
- 40.5kg x 35
- 60.5kg x 25
- 80.5kg x 16
- 100.5kg x 11
- 120.5kg x 6
- 140.5kg x 3
f**king death

Hyper deadlifts
- 1 x 20kg plate x 37
- 2 x 20kg plates x 25
- 3 x 20kg plates x 15
- 4 x 20kg plates x 6

Seated calf raise
- 1 x 20kg plate x 35
- 2 x 20kg plates x 20
- 3 x 20kg plates x 9
- 4 x 20kg plates x 3

The straps made the squats almost impossible, no idea how anyone has used them, i did half the sets with bar too far over on one side as i couldn't adjust it once i had took it off the rack.

Sarah

30 seconds rest between sets

Leg press
- sled x 100?
- 20kg x ??
- 40kg x ??
- 60kg x ??
- 80kg x ??
- 100kg x ??
- 120kg x ??
- 140kg x 4

Hyper deadlifts
- bodyweight x 25?
- 5kg x ??
- 10kg x ??
- 20kg x 8

Leg press calf raise
- 40kg x 40?
- 80kg x ??
- 120kg x ??
- 160kg x ??
- 200kg x 8

Why and how are you using straps on squat? 140 is a vey light weight so even if it was a bit lopsided surely you could handle that?

Read the sets above it / the 30 seconds rest between sets

Was with them on the bar like how they go on a wrist and holding them

By getting conditioned to taking a punch and moving around the ring. Have you even had a punch in the face before?? When u spar and get hit regularly you get use to it and it becomes a lot easier to react. That's why every boxer spars to prepare for fights
