It is bad, when you wake up tomorrow you will be happy for the 3 seconds until you realise it still hurts just as much as it did today. It will remain bad for about 2 weeks and then slowly start to get better. It is currently very inflamed and needs to be treated with ice and anti inflamitries. don't stretch in for a few days until the pain starts to ease a bit, then stretch it plus your hips and just about everything very gently, not allowing it to hurt. You may progressively increase the range of motion with these stretches. also get some type of object to did very deep into your piriformis. you should be able to squat soon enough with good form and light weights, just whatever you do don't agrovate it so don't allow anything you do to induce pain. any pain at all that is. when you can deadlift again switch to sumo and this will probably not happen again. | ||

Sound advice Jack! Mainly gutted that i may not be able to attend Thai Boxing for a few weeks. I hadn't even planned to Deadlift, my friend was doing them so i jumped in. I've intended to go Sumo for ages now because back issues with conventional seem to be unavoidable. | ||
