It may seem like a lot of pressing but I'm actually doing less than I did when I followed a westside template.
With westside on ME upper, I'd work up to say a reverse band bench press max and follow that with shedloads of pressing movements eg close grips, dumbbell neutral grips, inclines etc. On DE day I'd do up to 10 sets of 3 against a band and again follow that with a fair bit of pressing.

Remember that I do no bench assistance at the mo. I just bench press, and on Tuesdays and Saturdays I keep the volume low and light.

Hard work on the old bench planned for this evening. I've got 117.5kg for 4 sets of 3 reps in mind with paused last reps on all sets. Will be a pb with that weight in terms of volume. I'll try and film some of them sets.

I'm sure that you're really trying, Sam, but you never look like you are. Get some weight on the bar and let's see you struggle just a smidgin! What's you 1RM atm? I reckon you're good for 300 pounds (137) based on that video.

thanks guys. I'm really pushing hard there, it just doesn't show! I'll try for a 1rep mx next week, should get 137 as I tested 132 recently and it was fine. I reckon I'm within reach of 3 plates soon..
