Monday 7th January 2013 -

After weeks of eating utter crap and no cardio I've decided to get back to dieting as I want to get down to 19 stone-ish this year. As well as dieting I want to try get at least 3 cardio sessions in a week and really try nail my conditioning to be in better competitive shape.

This mornings weigh in: 23stone/146kg

Not a surprise I thought I was back up to this sort of weight so will have to be strict and going to go for 10 days of no carbs then either go for no carbs with a skipload day or have another crack at carb backloading i'm undecided yet.

If you haven't already you might want to look into complexes.

http://www.t-nation.com/article/bodybuilding/complexes_for_fat...

They suck and a massive pain to do because you end up breathing like a freight train. I use a version as part of my warm up because it get the blood pumping. You might find they make a good finisher to your strength sessions. A bit more sport specific than pounding away on a treadmill.

I had consider them and noticed that you did one, I had meant to ask you where you found it as I tried making one up and enjoyed it even though it was bloody hard! Cheers for the link mate Happy i'll have a look and will throw one in at the end of every session.

I was going to try get in 3 morning HIIT type cardio sessions in a week aswell to really hammer fat loss and conditioning.

Mega effort as always nicely done Happy Especially the PBs!

Have you videod your current technique to see your happy with it?

Just ideas Happy

It maybe worth toying with dead stance and grip width mate, i altered mine by just a few inches but made a huge difference in my strength.

Cheers for the advice Bokers and Oxman. I'll have to get a video of me deadlifting and have a little play with technique and see where it gets me.

Bench -

Was meant to squat and deadlift today but after feeling like s**t all day, with the phrase eye of a needle coming to mind I thought it best to skip that and do something that involved lying down with little movement.

Bench -

60kg x 15
80kg x 8
100kg x 3
125kg x 2
All Paused

(6x1 92.5% 1rm)

152.5kg x 1 Paused PB Grin
152.5kg x 1
152.5kg x 1
152.5kg x 1 Paused.. Don't ask me why!
152.5kg x 1
152.5kg x 1

100kg x 10

Just a short one today. All felt alright but think 152.5kg is about my paused limit, possibly 155kg on a good day but new technique definitely feels stronger and more comfortable so will stick with it.
