Cheers lads, enjoyed today and there was some good lifting going on, although certainly nothing special on my part.

Will (Newland) they actually went up pretty good, mind you I only did 3 reps on the stones!

Would have liked to do more work but time flies when you're having fun!

Stones were quality mate, the speed etc with the 150 was very impressive

Deadlift was looking good too, nail 220 - 3x3 next week, than onto 230, same protocol Roll-Eyes Grin

Cheers JC and Neil. We'll have to see about the deads JC, I was planning to go from the rack every other week, with light pulls from the floor afterwards?

16/7 Adders

Didn't feel strong/powerful tonight on anything, just put it down as a bad one and move on!

Power cleans
60kg x 3,3
80kg x 3
100kg x 3
115kg x 3
127.5kg x 1f2
110kg x 3

Jerks behind neck
60kg x 3
80kg x 3
100kg x 3
115kg x 3
120kg x f leave these

Front squats
60kg x 5
80kg x 5
100kg x 3
110kg x 3,5

Ran out of time as I was late due to some school stuff. A slight chaqnge of the training plan is probably going to happen from next week, nothing major though.

Joni was looking impressive overhead tonight and it was good to see the new lad (sorry I've forgotten your name - Stuart?) putting some serious graft in, looks like he has plenty of potential.

stuart = phil - pretty close tho Grin

maybe you can view it as a bad one - or maybe as one of the sessions where you nail some basic graft - as in no fireworks, but getting proper work in. We should start having more of those in the "off season" dont you think?

Phil - sorry Unhappy

Maybe you're right about the session, but I must admit - I do like a bit of fireworks in a session, always train better when I'm 'fired-up' Grin

Not bad session from what I can see mate, some good work

I only want nail 220 DL for max reps on Sunday, then I will do rack work - I need plenty as it definitely my weak point

85kg x 3

95kg x 3
100kg x 1,1

20" deadlift (rack height 2) bar level with the top of my tibia
60kg x 3
100kg x 3
140kg x 3
180kg x 3
200kg x 3
220kg x 2
230kg x 2
240kg x 1

Deadlifts
70kg x 3
100kg x 3
130kg x 3
150kg x 3
170kg x 3,3,3,3,3

Incline log press
70kg x 5
90kg x 5,5,6

Stone shouldering
105kg x 1
105kg x not quite x 2
105kg x 1,1
130kg x 3 PB

Good session. Log needs major work. This will be my only overhead day now, another pressing session in the week but nothing that will bother my shoulders so they are fresh for the weekend session.

Incline log press = an event made for JC! Beast - never mind the deadlifting to go with it!

Enjoyed the stone shouldering. The last rep of the 130 wasn't properly 'owned' but it certainly got to the top of my shoulder so I'm counting it!

Quote nicked straight from the Captain!

Cheers guys, I enjoyed that session. It feels good (to me) to get some quality work in without feeling particualrly strong.
