Front Squats - goal of 170kg bar x 5 70kg x 1 100kg x 1 120kg x 1 140kg x 1 160kg x 1 170kg x 1 NICE. They felt comfier as they got heavier, the 170 was easier than the 165 last time was. 175 next...maybe Friday. 2. Cleans - not done any of these in a very very long time, and not done any over 100kg in even longer bar x 3 40kg x 2 60kg x 2 80kg x 1 100kg x 1 120kg x 1 130kg x 1 135kg x 1 140kg x 1 - actually not too hard! Caught it quick, and standing up was a piece of piss, even with whatever front squat technique I've developed. My conclusion is, weoghtlifters are allowed to use their backs if they have backs... Squats - belt only - partials bar x 3 70kg x 1 120kg x 1 170kg x 1 220kg x 1 250kg x 1 270kg x 1 280kg x 1 - (all to pin 15 - 270 and 280 were PB's, felt easier than last time) 250kg x 1 - pin 14 250kg x 1 - pin 13 250kg x 1 - pin 12 - borderline legal depth! Pleased with this, matches my belt only PB and with a really slow descent looking for the pins! I'd like a touch lower to be certain, but if I was doing normal squats it would've been easier to do so. May take these down to pin 11 in the future, but my main concern is the pin 15 stuff, until I get to oh I don't know, 300 sounds nice... Bench Press Shirted bar 60kg 100kg shirt on 140kg x 2 - 3 board 180kg x 1 - 3 board 190kg x 1 - 2 board 200kg x 1 - 2 board (long time since I've done anything with 200+ ! 180kg x 2 - 1 board - happy with this too. Deadlift - 13" 70kg x 1 120kg x 1 170kg x 1 220kg x 1 270kg x 1 - ouch, left glute still giving me s**t when I deadlift. Ignored.... 300kg x 1 330kg x 3 - pleased that's my starting point and it was comfy too. When I pulled 350 at the British, I managed 335 x 3 from this height, so I'm stil round about there. I want to triple 360 from this height in my buildup. And finished, at 9pm! Started work at the gym at 10am, started training at 1pm....f**king long day! Rewarding though! | ||
