Great pulling Tom.

I just find this sort of buildup strange.
You started with 5x140kg, and ended with 200x5 eight weeks later and somehow out of this you got 280kg?

And then within 3 weeks you put 20kg on that by one rack pull and pulling off the floor twice?

How did you squatting go?

what shirt you using Tom? I think I remember you saying something about a fury? Nice DL pb. I dont care for them much myself but I do know 305 @ 79kg is awesome Happy

hi kev, cheers mate! had to be 305 though, pulled 300kg 5 times now, and I'm never doing it again unless it's a warm
up set for something big!

it's the f6, I'm sure I read you've used one, any tips? ( apart from get a rage x instead...)

cheers joni, nice to meet you too, such a good atmosphere when you get 5 or 6 guys goin heavy on deadlifts! I'm at Olympic usually Monday and Friday, wednesday was a one off, I'm usually at Salford uni with jim Wednesday and intershape with jim and bryn Sunday.

5x 140 was a really conservative start giving me plenty room to improve, and 5x200 was a quite conservative finish. I believe this worked by me never really pushing it too hard. 5x200kg straight leg is probably worth around 240-250 x5 conventional for me, which is well on track for 280kg if you ask me! the next 20kg was so easy to find because I hadn't done any conventional deadlift in so long, just solidifying my technique and getting the most out of the more efficient body angles found me the extra weight really quickly!


btw, my friend took his dl from 140kg to 200kg at the same time as me doing the same thing
