I was swinging out of control like an ape Member 1559, 4075 posts SQ 180, BP 100, DL 202.5482.5 kgs @ 90kgs UnEq | Training 29.06.11 Mammoth session today started at 4.30 at oly club in Wakefield with Liam and Brett, wanted to squat a bit and work on split jerk, had a great time and hit a jerk pb on oly bar, session went: Squat First time off squat stands and was scared to death lol also in my socks on a ply wood board didnt fill me with confidence but here goes. Barx10 70x5 110x3 130x3 went onto toes a bit so still leaning to far forward! 150x3 150x3 150x5 170x1 170x3 felt good on these and quads were working so knew I was doing some graft Split Jerk from stands 60x2 80x2 100x2 110x1 PB : ) was pleased with these as jerk wasnt firing well but still got it, bar doesnt sit as nice as axle does but it'll get there Push jerk 90x6 Repped out at 90kg push jerk, Liams idea lol he got 10 and Brett got 5 so I repped out at 5 and last one stepped leg out so 6 really. Elbow felt f**ked during these and hurt a lot on the negative, prob bad technique is all. Was knackered!! cardio was celaring plates and flooring away, started at 4.30 finished at 6, drove straight to Steel for my evening session with Richard and Liam, started at 6.20, went as follows. 17'' deads from rack 60x5 100x5 140x2 180x3 220xFAIL FFS 200x3 T&G Dont know why but cant get my 18's back up to where they were begining of the year,will be working hard on them though now. Bit of event stuff after Farmers 60x30m drop and turn 110x30 no drop held at top end on first turn for about 15 seconds and a slow turn to smash my grip, and it worked I was f**ked after these! Yoke 260x25 drop and turn We had some fun doing a relay with yoke after for a bit of cardio, 3 in the relay, 10 metres, drop next man goes. 180x3x10m 180x10x10m 130 metres covered in about 15 minutes, felt great and got better and better with each run, definatly something we are going to continue with yoke and farmers. Did some tyre flips after with Richard, just passing the 150 tyre to eachother for about 20 reps or so, felt good cardio tbh and a good laugh. All in all a cracking session, loving the little U90 Wednesday sessions, lots more to come from the mighty midgets down here : ) | ||

I was swinging out of control like an ape Member 1559, 4075 posts SQ 180, BP 100, DL 202.5482.5 kgs @ 90kgs UnEq | Thanks everyone ye felt like a good bit of graft, and im knackered lol just a bit of bench to do tomorrow then events on Saturday : ) Ye oly bar is s**te lol dont sit on my chest or shoulders so when I dip for leg drive, bar drops so makes it heavier if that makes sense, ah well all a learning curve : ) The oly club is an ace place to work on technique though, would recomend it to everyone. | ||
