I dont really come on here anymore but I've been in real shock about this since I found out the news on Monday evening.

I knew john and met him maybe 7 years ago now from sunday strongman session at salt ayre. I saw him briefly at a comp i was watching at break the bar gym last year and seem his usual hilarious happy self up til then I hadn't seem him for maybe 4 years?

He was a great guy. Constantly ribbing me for being fat😂 was always giving out abuse like he was hers on sugden lol.

Like others have said he was a funny guy. No other journal I have seen that included F for fail but also M for miss, so in aeffect it was still a fail but not quite so dramatic!! He method of max out every session had a lot of us un stitches I presume.

It's so sad to think John was obviously suffering inside yet I guess that outgoing personality was just a mask. It so important people talk about mental health issues, it's quite close to home for me this subject. I know especially for men it's such a hidden thing

This gym is pretty awesome. They've got virtually everything! I went down on Thursday. Was tempted to lift a log or carry some farmers but would have just broken myself in two. Just deadlift and bench press for me.

Haha yeah. After bench pressing I got talking to a chap who explained there was a platform where they prefer you to deadlift(Inc bumpers haha) the lad there was using a 17.5kg bar and it was better, used that for deficits

Im a bit pissed off but only had an hour to train today. I was too rough to train yesterday and missed Thurs Due to works leaving do.
