I'm new to this so here it goes. Just trying to keep track of what I'm doing and maybe get some tips along the way as I begin training again after a nasty back injury and build to my first novice comp. I'll start with my PB's to date:

Training out of Olympic Sports Gym, Ashton.

Bench - 145kg
Deadlift - 250kg All unequipped(I thank Mark Clegg for the deadlift pb)
Squat - 220kg

Overhead - 120kg
Strict overhead - 95kg
Log - 117.5kg

Powerclean - 120kg
150kg Atlas Stone


Training 16-06-11

Came in tonight with high hopes of getting 125kg over my head but the blocks were being used so after a bit of umming and ahhing i went for some log for the first time in 6months since doing my back in with it.

Managed 110kg very easy but coouldn't get my head off the "injury" thing. It scared the pants of me. I'm sure the confidence will grow back.

Strict press:
60kg x 10
70kg x 5
80kg x 5 x 5sets

Confidence in my back grew back towards the end of these and felt pretty good. Shame the blocks were busy, that PB would have gone up!

Close grip bench:
60KG x 8
80kg x 8
100kg x 5 x 5 plus chains(8kg each I think??)

Dumbell front raises:
10kg x 10
15kg x 6 x 3
17.5kg x 6 x 3

Finito!

Felt stronger towards the end of the session, had my sights set on that pb but it wasn't to be. Needed to get that log up again though, will take a while to feel comfortable with it again :/

120kg x 10 front squat to finish.

Tricep pushdowns:

75kg x 5 x 3
85kg x 5 x 3

All confidence went immediately as soon as I felt the pain in my back. Wasn't very pleasent.
