When was the last time you pulled from the Floor Thor? Grin surely your Due a Pb? (if u allow adiquate time for your back to heal up well that is)

27th of January mate. I don't pull from the floor unless I'm pulling a PB. I've never failed a Deadlift below the knees so lockouts and partials is how I train. I'm due to pull a max on the 9th of March. Fairly confident 300kg will go easy.

Had most of this week off due to more back problems. Managed to train Thursday and got some good log work in which included a solid 130kg PB.

02.03.12
Whilst warming up for deadlifts I dropped an empty Olympic bar on my left foot. The pain was incredible but I tried to persevere.

Bar x lots
70kg x lots
120kg x 3
170kg x 3
220kg x 1
270kg x 1 - Toe was f**kong killing me
290kg x F -Rolled forward onto toes and was game over from there.

Close grip Bench:
60kg x 5
100kg x 5
100kg x 10
100kg x 10

Went to the hospital this morning as the toe only got worse over night. I have 2 fractures in my left big toe. Won't know time frame until Wednesday but Im strapped up to f**k with crutches. 6-8 weeks to heal at least.

I think the Gods are trying to tell me something.

Cheers mate. I was thinking that myself, would have been top to get it. I think it shows it was easily there with a healthy foot.

Only thing that stops me training is my spine. From time to time. No point sitting at home getting weak.

Cheers pal. Had a chat with a few guys, Joni especially, and came to the decision that I NEED the experience. Doubt I will be able to get anything except bench and pull ups in before it but it's only my second comp and I need it. My conditioning will take a serious blow.
