good work man, nice bench PB and power clean, while aye it was ugly it was a great fight and you seem pretty strong on them!

Cheers for your kind words guys. I'll stick to the plan from now on. No more running (apart from footy) and only steady training and a decent diet from hereon in.

that squat would have gone up under different circumstances mate !!

great fight with the bench, godda be please with that !!

good powerclean too considering the bar/weight combo is probably the hardest to powerclean with , you would soil yourself in delight if you tried that with wigans bar ...

Cheers all, yeah that 170 on my shoulders didn't feel too heavy, well not until I tried to get back up with it that is! heh

Tuesday 16th October

Bench: 50 x 6, 70 x 3, 95 x 3,3,3,2,3.
CG Bench: 70 x 5,5,5.
PC+PP: 50 x 5, 70 x 3,3,3.
pushdowns: 30 x 8,8,8.

Yes that's a 2 on the 4th set. Timing rather than strength imo, cos I got the last set.

Anyway, I'm knackered and injured! Bugger. Played a footy match on Sunday and took a flying knee to the right quad. I'm still limping. So I'm going to have to wait a bit for squating, although I'll be deadlifting on Thursday; I should be OK to do that.

Alors, le rosbif! Grin

good stuff on the bench-a real grinder and no mistake. your arms look quite long so 105 is a good lift in my book.
That powerclean must also be amongst the ugliest i've ever seenGrin

Salut. Yeah I know, after 2 fails I was going to get that damn clean up no matter what! That's not to say that my normal power clean technique makes people envious or anything.

Q: When is a clean dirty?
A: When Neil does it.

Excuse my A.D.D. but that reminds me of a classic Woody Allen quote. Is sex dirty? Only if it's done right!

Thursday 18th October

DL: clean grip 50 x 5, 90 x 5, 130 x 3, opposing grip, 150 x 3, 170 x 3,3,3.
Widearm pullups: BW x 8,8,8.
BB rows: 50 x 8,8,8.
TPCs: 12 x 8,8,8.

The plan was to do 170 x 5 sets of 3 but what with my slightly injured leg that I could feel I figured I'd stop at 3 sets. Still they came up relatively easily so no complaints or worries there. 185 x 5 sets of 2 next week. We'll see!

Meant to be fitting a radiator but I've run out of pipe joins so I decided to fit in an extra-sneeky-I'm-out-here-working-really bench session.

CG Bench: 70 x 5,5,5.
pushdowns: 30 x 8,8,8.

Wanted to get 100 x 2,2,2,2,2 today but just didn't have it in me even on the first set so I had to settle for sets of 1 instead. A little disappointed but what can you do. I know, I'll work on my bench twice a week until I reach 110 1RM that's what I'll do damn it!

Bench: 50 x 8, 70 x 5, 80 x 5, 90 x 5, 90 x 4.
CG Bench: 70 x 5, 80 x 4.
underarm pullups: BW x 8,6,5.
pushdowns: 30 x 8,8,8.

Did this session with my bodybuilder mate, and after yesterday morning's bench session along with almost no rest between sets... well, I did the best I could. Won't do another bench session until Saturday now.
