knock knock !! who's there ?? OLD SCHOOL SUGDEN Member 212, 11439 posts SQ 325, BP 212.5, DL 370907.5 kgs @ 100kgs UnEq | I have been in discussion with the American u90kg champion Brandon and he is very interested in coming over and guest competing at our ESM u90kg .. The way I think is that this is a great thing because although he will not score points within the competition we can give him ghost points a comparison can be drawn up about the standard of where our u90's compare to our U.S brothers .. Brandon believes that the standard of under 90kg strongman in our country is of the very best quality and I'm sure having him over for the championship can only make for a better competition .. Anyway your thoughts are always welcome Please let me know your thoughts

My opinions have run their course Member 694, 3112 posts | Well Mark I'm a way off qualifying and competing in this so I don't know how valid my opinion is. But surely it can only be a good thing. If anyone wants to get anywhere they have to compete with the very best and this is an opportunity for some people who need to see what level they need to get, to get there. It would also promote international competition and maybe lead to a "US vs UK" type comp, or other things like that. I'm sure there are down sides but I can't see them right now.

Sugdens 'man' at WSM 2021 Member 1513, 2139 posts SQ 224.5, BP 181, DL 276.5682.0 kgs @ 120kgs UnEq | Post Edited: 20.01.2011 @ 19:01 PM by Craig_Pfisterer I like it and I hope it works out that he can compete. UK competitors get to see how they compare to one of the best under 90kgs the US has to offer and Brandon gets to have some international competition, something most under 90kgs competitors in the US aren't likely to have. And like Will said, could be a stepping stone to more international under 90kgs comps. It seems win win to me.

Why get fat to look big? Member 1330, 4797 posts SQ 300, BP 200, DL 305805.0 kgs @ 107kgs UnEq | Sounds like a great idea, see the best of the best from the USA and how we compare over here. It'd be a great boost for the whole U90 scene in the UK as well. Like James said- UK vs USA comps in the future?....

The one in the guns and roses teeshirt. Member 171, 2462 posts SQ 272.5, BP 140, DL 245657.5 kgs @ 80.2kgs Eq | Definately, definately get him. Why not let the lads compare themselves against one of the best? See how much higher the standard really is in the US. Will spur the lads on and inspire them to bigger and better things!
