DL1987 said:Although a good strongman I saw a post of his where he was spouting off about how he was the strongest gay in the world and stuff like that can't remember exact wording of his. By all account he's a strong bloke but doesn't make it any more impressive that he is gay. Some people feel they need to let everybody know about there personal life when all that matters is how you perform on the day

I agree it's all about the performance the day of the show, I'm sure you felt the same and were disgusted when Derek Poundstone proposed to his wife on the Arnold stage after his win a few years back, we don't need to know his personal life!!!

105kg pro American strongman Robert Kearney hit's a 425lb(193kg) log on the second day of the Arnold amateur Heavyweight competition, after 4 heavy events on the first day. Full disclosure he was 252lb(115kg) the weekend of the Arnolds.

This is the full video of the events in order. log starts at 4:08 link below

Z lost the competition, not Shaw won it

Brian shaw was down by 1.5 point going into the final event and trailed the whole show, he did six reps Z did 4 rep, Shaw won the last event winning the show, that is literately the definition of Shaw winning the show and not Z losing it to let Shaw win lol. Whatever helps you get off to Z's photo at night.

Just to give you a heads up Simon u80=176lbs, 80.5=177.1lbs, the weight class at the Arnold is 175lbs you do get .4 lb allowance since we round down, so you will won't get that 1.1 lb allowance you got last weekend. 79.7kg and under. Good luck and have fun Columbus has some good food and bars ask shane Wink

Would you say the lack of expourse is starting strongmans fault or the promoter of the shoe and athlete for not getting that info out there. i post a like to the USA comp results that lists hundreds of completed shows, show me any datavade with half those results? You can't, so people use the best information they can't find and make a accurate estimate on ranking. i see you bash these rankings as wildly inaccurate based on the 105kg class and a few open spots. I've talked to over a dozen guys off and on the list. non seem to have a issue with. in fact it had some of tge guys wanting to compete against the best!! JC have a pint mate cheers Happy

Remember that esm you came over to do? The results were up within 24 hours and videos of every single competitor were up within a week. Which is no different to every other esm, BSM, regional qualifiers at u90 and 105 that my dad has scored over the past 3 or 4 years (that's around 20 comps). Wink

Honestly the best run show i've ever done, miles better than even our own nationals. Keep up the great work!! Is there a database with all the records of past shows? Here is all the results from the last 4 years of American strongman http://www.nastrongman.com/?page_id=18 , literally hundreds of shows. Just getting all comp results is a start, most local level bodybuilding and powerlifting shows have webcasts, i would wake up early to see Europe's strongest u90 live!!

Thats great, but theyre national comps and youre saying its international rankings
Looks like its written by a yank whos just looked at englands and euros results to give it an "international" title

I didn't write them so don't take what i say as fact. I think the second half of your post is on the mark and sadly it represents the lack of Awareness about strongman even in the strongman community, find me the Ukraine or Russian u105 results? I think Tom Hibbert ran a great show(SCL) and by putting out Results almost instantly along with Individual competitor videos it brings a lot of interest to strongman as no one wants to know the score of a football match played last month. More promoters need to step out of the dark ages and follow in his footsteps.

JC said:I have to lol at the 105 rankings

The worlds Ben won, the best yank Sean was 8th, yet hes ranked 2nd!!!!!?

At that Time Sean was 2nd in the usa our best 105kg at the time wasn't there, in the 18 months since then Sean has Won Americas strongest man u105kg, as well as won his HW(open) Pro Card. Strongman is a very fluid sport, and given the events on that day it's hard to say. Like i said they aren't permanent and will change going forward as more shows will factor in.
