If we're talking internationals then surely Alex Moonen's little bro would be a good candidate?

All talk then turns to the American, when really it should be about the ESM winner

You make a great point, but with guys like James, Shane, Bigmacca, and Boar that will not happen they are freaky strong, and i just don't want to embarrass myself over there.

Hey Brandon...I suppose a lot what depend on your standard

With say Adam Keep in u105, if he was in his best possible nick, he would probably walk away with UKs 105 (although I think the gap is closing)

I see your point JC and it is a valid one. But surely if that does happen it will be inspiration for the U90 guys to up their game? There is often a debate about comps in the UK being too heavy or too light etc. So if a top international lifter comes over then it gives a great baromoter to test the weights against.

Thing is though he is USA's best but he isn't necessarily any better than anyone over here, to get a true indication of the international standard we need more countries & people involved this is a good start though.

As an outsider I can see the pros and cons from both viewpoints. Personally I think it best to keep a national meet as just that and invite a guest for a regional meet. I would prefer this if the situation arose in PL.

Would a compromise be an invite just for a few events or would that be not worth Braddons time?

One could say it'd be quite deflating? You become ESM, yet are owned on every event by someone else, and in your moment of glory, you get just a minor mention as everyone salivates over the beastly American who OWNED all the Brits?
