Bit of training tonite @ Dowie's gym, Leven

Squats upto 120kg double (RAW)

18" Deadlift upto an easy 200 but 220 wouldn't move, strange Roll-Eyes

High incline Smith upto 70 for 2

Couple of 500m rows

Gunz & done


Totally f**ked & things felt heavy, been hitting the kettlebell so hope the concept2 rows come down in time...............

Not posted for a while as training has been a bit on & off! Got a bit more time & energy at the mo so decided to try some new deadlift training & hope it works out in the long run.

No more heavy singles & going for reps of 6. Started @ 160x6 last week & plan is to hit 180x6 before trying anymore max. This week managed 165x6 but the 6th was a fight. 5kg added every week & if I miss out on the full 6 its stays the same weight till I can move on.

Keeping training more basic so assistance work is being cut back for now, will see how things go............

Back squats off too as knees f**ked so front squat for a while, attempted a 140pb last week but bombed it lol.

Sounds like a great plan to me dude. A bit of volume does the body good from time to time.

Yeah think it's what I've been needing! Suppose we all respond to different things & the guys I train with are nearer their bodies max effort. I have miles to go lol

This week!

Tuesday
Decided to give split jerk a try as my over head is gash & need something to give me a kick start. Went upto a 75k split jerk so happy enough with that. Tech prob brutal but can work on that.
Followed by some dips, cg bench & smith machine

Thursday
Back to the deadlft training & 170x6 this week, got this prob better than last weeks 165x6! Bit of a hitch on the 6th rep but nothing like I expected at this weight.
Followed by leg press, calf raise, lat pull downs & hyper extensions


Getting so momentum going for a change so hoping for a deadlift PB in the next month or so, no rush tho

170x6 is strong man. I JUST ground out 4 reps when I nearly got 190 up so I reckon you're onto a good thing here!
