Cheers Andy, back to heavier stuff next week. Gonna alternate heavy weeks and lighter speed weeks for the next little while and see what that does for me Happy

Back to heavier didn't quite work out. Terrible pain in both wrists and bicep tendons from about the 3rd rep on warmup

Bench
60x10
100x4
120x3
140x1
100x4
Just felt really sore

Axle strict press
40x10
90x2
90x2
even sorer than the bench

Tried some seated shoulder stuff, sorer still.

Pec deck, worse again

Some streching and home. Total waste of a trip to the gym Unhappy

wow thats heavy!

grabbing the 120 keg, sandbag and anvil at the qual will be easy for you if you can throw around a db that weight! Happy

I must confess to straps on the DB though Roll-Eyes

I think 120kg items should be fine to pick up and carry about. I have shouldered the 120 fat kegs and find them easy enough to load to platforms. Assume sandbags will be ok, although I dont have that weight to practice with, think it was a 115 for loading in my last comp and it was ok. Anvil is a bit of an unknown though.

I am concerned about my girly hands and pussy grip though, I will get destoyed on farmers etc, and worry about wearing out my grip for the deadlift

finger, farmers then medley, I think a good few will struggle with the deadlift due to grip, I'm going to try and up my grip conditioning(if that makes sense), lots of volume on farmers and medleys, plus extra grip work at home

Think your home grip stuff should stay un logged Martin

Yeah, I get what you mean.

I am away for 2 weeks in early feb so will struggle to train at all, hopefully I will find some stuff laying about I can train with.

I dont have anything to train for the finger, so will just have to hope its ok. My conditioning is not as good as it could be though.

Anyway, I am looking forward to trying it and learning as much as I can from it
