Strong session mate looked good on the fronties, more volumes at 3' and 5's at the top weights will see you get to that 200 in no time. Also as we said Bethune bench back in on top of you close grip work in the firm of inclines, declines, boards and paused. | ||

I am gonna keep bench in for sure, as my lockouts OH are better when I am benching regularly. I think the "bench has no carryover to strongman" line is a crock of s**t. I can bench more than I can put overhead and it forces my tricep strength, which helps my lockouts, there is no question. Think some havy board presses to hammer the triceps is a good call | ||

What you said bout neil being able to sit bar on chest now, exactly where we are, holding bar in air rather than resting on torso. That be why even light weights feel uncomfortable, stress on wrists. You will need to improve the wrist flexibility to push the elbows up to get in a comfortable position. It now feels really natural for me, which cross grip never did. Try different hand positions, I started narrow with my fingers pinned between the barand my shoulders and the elbows up. It was a bit sore on the fingers tho, but seemed best position at first. Now I have it adjusted to hold it where my grip would be for push press and it feels good. Just gotta see which I get first, the 200 frontie or 200 zercher, and whether or not I beat Neil to it ![]() | ||

Think I am gonna start alternating heavy weeks and slightly lighter explosive weeks. I do find my strength improves at lower rep ranges, but my ability to rep goes to s**t. Feel like me events have come on more than my gym lifts this year though. Hoped to be a little further on than I am, but hopefully 2011 will be kind | ||
