It's just muscle soreness, will be fine after some stretching and foam rolling, al never be a gay as Ross

Planning a bit of a speed session on Saturday and lots of stretching
Felt tired today after a week of dieting so really happy wi squats

Northern quals
Well weighed 94.5 kg last Sunday so it's first time I've really had to dial in the weight before a comp,
Anyway after dieting and sweating the last bit out of me I made weight ( not sure on the accuracy tho)

After last minute event changes log was first up
95kg ftoh in 60 seconds
Got told we had to turn our belts around god nose y but it really f**ked up my clean the press felt fine tho
5 reps but just ran out of time
Joint 4th wanted more but not a bad start

Axle deadlift about 14-16 inch 250kg
Really wasn't looking forward to this my deadlift has been pretty s**t for about 18months and only just started going heavy ish again, managed 3 reps and was actually pretty happy I had failed 250 from about this height in training a few weeks, had the feeling this had f**ked my chances and it did not a clue on place but towards the bottom

270 yoke 30 meters
These yokes looked really tough, watched a lot of lads struggle, they were really not made to go heavy on and were bending like hell,
Anyway actually did a good first 15 m, got half way back on return and arse and hamstrings started to cramp, managed to finish but only by throwing the thing over the line, saw trav do it by accident and thought I ain't finishing any other way so copied lol
Think only 6 finished so was either 5th or 6th

235 trap bar hold no straps
Never a good event for me think am too soft for it, got just over 40 seconds which actually happy with, at the half way point my tendon in shoulder started to strain then pain down my bicep but held out as long as I could
Not sure on place

Tire 300kg 10 flips
Got told I was 6th by 1 point, was actually optermistic I could do it, the first 8 flips were quick but started to cramp the 9th felt like a tone, and got stuck at half way point on the last bloody flip, it felt like forever to get the bloody thing over, still a decent ish time
5th I think not good enough

6th over all
Happy ish, that said if I'd qualified it would have prob been my last year competing, but I really don't stop when I dint qualify, having a few months off now to rehab and have a think what am going to do, go back to specialist next week and I'm expecting a bollocking for competing. It was great to see the lads again. I really wasn't comp ready and felt like s**t all day, but I enjoyed it
Big thank to gra bummer and broke back mountain for coming to watch
And to bob and his team for putting on the comp, their always interesting
