I got that swine flu jab and am feeling a little funky, maybe almost psychedelic.

I went squatting anyway.

Squats:
3x5/110kg

Speed squats:
3x3/70kg

Bench:
2x5/85kg
1x5/87.5kg

Static bench:

Low position 10 sec hold @ 60kg

Middle position 10 sec hold @ 65kg

Top position 10 sec hold @ 90kg

FIN.

Today was f**king ace! First day back at the Palace and there was plenty of good energy kicking about.

Deads:
3x5/140 Had millions of velocity in my first two sets!

Speed Deads:
3x3/90

Bench:
6x3/50 Obscene velocity that I've never had before. My arch was also really good today.

Speed bent over rows:
3x5/70 Good velocity here too.

All in all a great session. I rocketed through the session and ate at Smackdonalds afterwards. Big mac, 2 cheeseburgers, drink and fries. Beautiful.

by Christ it's good to be back.

I used this for a few weeks. I put on a lot of weight fast. Had to drink about 2 pints of water afterwards or my lips would dry out.

That was an intense day of deadlifts well done. I'm sure that you'll get that 100 next time!

Did a session to re introduce myself to the sport after being ill.

Squat:

1x5/110kg

Deadlift:

1x6/140kg!!!

Bench:

1x8/85!! PB at this weight??

Bent over rows:

1x7/90kg!!

All in all I'm really happy.

I have NO idea how I pulled 6 at 140kg and NO idea how I pushed 8 at 85kg on bench after such a long layoff and being really ill to boot. I'm really chuffed especially considering I'm down to 86 kilos from over 90.

I'm gonna try and hit a 200 1rm dead and a 150 1rm squat for July. That's my big target. I'm gonna need consistency from here on in.

My favourite pie. An ex of mine was from the states and used to make this. Bloody epic.

And did anyone else read the story that went along with MrSmalls link? I read it and I was like "What.....the......FUUUUU??!!"

You do MMA or no gi bjj dude?

I had that same problem with the hips myself as well as the tucking under at the bottom. Taking a slightly wider stance than I had before and pointing my toes out more helped me. I'm not exactly a great lifter though so listen to others rather than myself.

PS Thanks for the video link RY87. Awesome!

PPS. If you wrestle or do jits, foam rolling with a tennis ball on your hips helps. BJJ and wrestling stiffens up your hips over time.

I really wanted to go to training tomorrow so I got out of my street for the first time in a couple of weeks and went to the bank.I intended on getting some cash out for the journey over and my session fee.....0 points for Wylie. Not even enough money in there to buy a McDonalds large meal. As a result of this I wont be going to the palace. I'll lift some logs in the woods whilst hunting for dinner with my old archery gear (no joke) and I'll probably lift some rocks too when I go fishing in the bloody ice.

I'm gonna have to hunt for another job.

If some c**t told me my future when I was fifteen years old I wouldn't have believed it.

This isn't the first time this has happened, or the second.
