No Monday session.
"Patient not responding to treatment"

Some more time needed.

On the plus side, my training partner is now hitting the numbers needed for a 120kg bench!

My lung condition has advanced to a worse place.

Unfortunately no session today. My training is quaffing pills like a ned on Saturday night and laying still in a warm room.

Hopefully will be back to something by next week if I'm lucky. Things were going really well too.

Did my first stiff leg deadlift session recently. Holy cow what an exercise. Certainly wasn't using that kind of weight though hah.
Nice numbers!

Back to squats.

SQUATS
2 sets of 3 reps with 150kg

BENCH
Borked my hand at work today. Couldn't hold past 60kg.

DUMBELL PRESS
Managed to hold 20s so did 4 sets of 10 slow reps.

CUFFED TRICEP EXT
3 sets of 19 then 13 then 12 reps

CUFFED BICEP CURL
2 sets of 15 then 13 reps.

HAMSTRING CURL
Sets of 20 with 45kg

Couldn't hold f**k all in my hand. Injured it during work and don't know how. It's the meaty part of the thumb.

Took a week off training to address issues I've been having with my left TFL,my left ankle, my right knee, my right sciatic nerve at the upper calf, my right shoulder, my right levator scapula, my right rhomboid and my right elbow. Been training hard for a few weeks knowing that something could go at any time but wanted to chase those good numbers.

I had a couple of great sessions and now feel it's time to address the issues I've been having with those bodyparts which involves spamming them with a range of random physio exercises because I can't afford an actual physio and don't feel like waiting a year and a half until the NHS physio comes through is a viable option.
I'll spam the random physio and when I see benefit, will return to heavier stuff, then if anything goes again I'll spam more physio over and over until my NHS appointment finally comes round at some point when I'm in my 40s.

Billwest said:Excellent session. Some very solid squatting over the last few sessions.

Thank you Bill.
Trying my hardest whilst attempting to keep the niggles in check.
Much appreciated.

unit94 said:Thank you mate! The standard is incredible nowadays.

So I trained a short session in the garage Wednesday and then had a few days off as my baby daughter was born Thursday morning! Absolutely over the moon that her and Shannon were safe and healthy so that's been taking up most of time this last week! I have trained twice so far but with her turning up a few days late I'm just using this week to get used to having Nancy in the gym and getting my eye in with exercises I haven't done for a while! Will start properly next week.

Your biggest PB to date! Congrats on the little nipper matey. That's wonderful.

It's utterly wild to think that a man who can pull 400kg isn't winning the deadlift these days. Absolutely wild and congratulations on an absolutely unreal deadlift.
Mind blowing stuff!

work was horrible and my knee is crunching

Squats
Long build up to a 150kg single

7 reps with 120kg
5 reps with 140kg
3 reps with 150kg (been a while since I've done this)

Bench
Single with 100
3 sets of 10 reps with 90kg (have shoulder pain)
Single with 110kg

DUMBELL SEATED PRESS.
3 sets of 10 reps with 20kg. (Took it easy because of shoulder pain)

FACE PULLS
3 sets of 10 reps

WIDE GRIP PULLDOWN
1 set of 10 reps with 66kg
2 sets of 8 reps with 66kg
(Strength is down on this one)

REAR DELTS MACHINE
4 sets of 10 reps with 36kg?

Been getting incredibly intense head pain when I squat above 7 reps for 3 weeks.
Not too sure what's causing this.
The pain goes up the muscles at the back of my neck and right all over my skull. It's really really unpleasant!

Session with the Mrs.

BODYWEIGHT SQUATS
4 sets of 15 slow reps (her exercise not mine)

PUSHUPS
3 sets of 10 reps done slowly.

SEATED ROW
3 sets of 10 reps with 59kg

Todays was super easy for me. It was more just to keep the body moving. It worked well for her though. She has very little strength so it was all a really good and challenging session for her where she pushed herself well.

SQUATS
1 set of 10 reps with 120kg (this gave me massive pain in my head so I stopped there)

BENCHPRESS
1 set of 50 reps with 50kg
1 set of 11 reps with 65kg
1 set of 12 reps with 65kg

SHOULDER PRESS MACHINE.
3 sets of 15 reps with 65kg (pb)

Not feeling 100% so called it there.
Small session but worked hard.
