Summary
Good session. 2nd one of the new routine. Nice to squat some reasonable weight again. Possibly a bit more there, but not pushing it yet. Overhead repping was tough and ultimately too heavy, will drop back a bit on the weight next time, need to be smashing all reps strict and paused. Single Leg DL is for glute activation and seems to work. Done slow and controlled (although nearly fell over a couple of time, as my balance is crap). Good mornings were easy, but groin felt a bit niggly, so backed off a bit. Found a non-niggly grove in subsequent sets, so upped the weight on the last one. Could have done all 4 sets at 50.....will try next time. Ran out of time for the Evil8 (which was probably a good thing....)

Fecking DOMS are bloody horrendous though. Not loving stairs, toilets or the sofa at the moment! Lol

Summary
Great session. Did the overhead speed work seated. It's the only way to safely set the bands up, but actually it should work well, as you really then have no leg involvement at all. Squat repping was good, focussing on form, primarily. Really concentrated on keeping upper body tight, getting good speed out of the hole and hip drive. Pleased. Assistance work is still fairly light, but due to the short rest periods, felt heavy quickly. Superset was 'interesting'. and the circuit nearly made me vomit. The overhead squats with the plate are loads harder than say the same with an oly bar. Getting shoulder rotation to shift the COG far enough back so I didn't fall over was tough. Flexibility needs work. Sweating like a mo fo!

It's all good. Not surprising really considering the amount of graft you do. Give it a few weeks and you'll adjust.

Doing a proper 3day split now, rather than trying to cram it all into two days. Also dropped all the cardio for the moment until I adjust.
