An average MMA fighter/Muay Thai fighter would kill most strongmen/powerlifters and rightly so.

Rightly So ? We`re not that bad are we ?

I know a Muay Thai fighter and he`s never killed me, I actually thought he liked me..

LOL! Yes you are!! You know what I meant.
It would be interesting to see though how far a top athlete from a different sport could go with only, say, a year's worth of skills training. i'm sure some would do pretty damn well. But they would be very unlikely to make it to the top.

Pudz!?

Pudz has better genmetics than Tom I'd imagine, and he's s**te at MMA

To be fair to pudz if he was younger and started at a lower level to gain confidence, he would maybe fair a bit better.

Yes they are indeed, but a world class deadlift proves you genetics are better than 99% of people out there, your CNS is extremely efficient, high percentage fast twitch fibres, only thing one must do is gain technical skills albeit the hardest part, since it requires extreme dedication and conditioning.
Generally speaking a person who can punch with devastating power, obviously has very good genetics, wrist size, hand size, forearm, arm strength, shoulder, core, leg strength and an abundance of fast twitch fibres. Obviously they would make a better powerlifter with specific training than someone who did not posses these attributes.
However, I do agree 100% with what you are saying a good deadlifter won't make a good fighter, but I will add, a very good deadlifter, like a good fighter is already very genetically blessed and can make the transition far more easily than an average person.
Just let Tom loose in the octagon, a couple of cheque drops, then you'll see.

What about Mariusz? He's dogs**t.

Sorry to piss all over your dreams tom.
