It has gone worse overnight - can't move it much at all now. Also my neck has seized up so I can barely move my head. My left shoulder feels FUBAR, like it has been torn out of its socket and I'm missing skin/callouses in two places on my left hand.

Would do it all again tomorrow if I had the chance. Grin

Lots to take from that session yesterday mate...you were moving very well indeed with the olympic stuff

As I said to you, you can see the rewards of the Russian squat routine already....the 117 & 122 wouldnt have come out of the hole 5-6 weeks ago. All in all, lots too be optimistic about.

I can definitely see a 100-10/130-40 in the next 3-6 months.....be great to hit a comp if you can get around those numbers

Hope the wrist isnt too f**ked...nail the ibuprofen!

Mine was exactly the same Jonny, its impossible to put any pressure on it?

My callouses burst last night!

JC - the Olympic stuff felt good yesterday. I was in no rush with it, was properly warmed up and felt injury free. I'm hoping that with continued focus on the squat, my front squat and squat clean continue will rise steadily - let's be honest - they need to!

I would love to hit those numbers you mention. They certainly don't seem impossible to me at this moment in time.

There was a build up of water inside them and they were gettin painful...i picked oliver up and they had burst

Like blisters under the skin? Or had the skin torn off your hand like mine yesterday?

My hands weren't in too bad shape before yesterday's session. I think having chalk on them for so long made them really dry. The old callous came off far too easily. I need to sort my hands out as they never seem to heal.

Ian (Grin) - No I've not tried that mate. Have you? What's it supposed to do? I have got a callous file that I have started using and I think I'm going to start moisturising, when I remember (so about once a fortnight probably!). They were looking in decent nick before Saturday, but the one part that hadn't healed fully went again. I just need a few weeks of nothing going on them and I think they'll be OK.

No Crossfit this week, as it's basically been squatting, benching and chins for the last 2 days which I had planned for tonight at Catt's anyway. It's also given my wrist a much needed rest after hurting it on Saturday.

Tuesday 10th July

Catt's session with JC

Squat high bar
60kg x 5
100kg x 3
140kg x 1
162.5kg x 3,3,3

First set was hard, second set was spot on, third was all over the place, but somehow I got through it.

Power clean and push press
60kg x 3
80kg x 3
95kg x 1
105kg x 1
82.5kg x 5 strict presses

Wrist was causing some discomfort on these, preventing me from racking the bar properly. Hopefully it should be OK in a week or two, so not as bad as I first thought.

Deadlift
140kg x 3
180kg x 1
210kg x 3

Close grip bench press
60kg x 5
90kg x 1
110kg x 5,5,5,5,5

Wide grip chins
BW x 24

Weighed myself this morning - 95.8kg.

For your hand millsy, get some surgical spirit and rub it into your hands twice a day (maybe let them heal a little). Its more manly than filing and moisturising and works very well.
