Was dreading tonight as I've got the sorest quads in history, stiff and sore to touch (courtesy of Saturdays squats). Walking has been a nightmare.

However, it was an ACE session! Deads flew up and the pressing was easy. Amazed- tech was spot on, felt really good. This, of course, means Wednesday will be rubbish. Happy

You got through the session and a nice volume session too.
But 150 x 20 on the old squat will deffi ey make you walk funny and look like you s**t yourself when you walk up and down stairs.

Power jerk:
5x 60kg
5x 80kg

Not too bad. Pushies felt good. Not really tried power jerks before, only split type ones- felt quite good, though by the end there wasn't anything left to hold the bar locked out. On the last set, 5th rep, it got up to lockout then just dropped and almost took my nose off on the way down..... Think I could do a bit more than I can push press doing them, will need to get confident with the tech first though. Happy

Strong push pressing Ben, 100x5 followed by a bit of volume with 100kg is good going. Any short term goals in mind for your push pressing?

Thanks Paul. I'd like 125kg FTOH by the end of the year as it was a target i'd made end of last year. Not sure if it's achievable but i'll give it a my all and see.

Strong pressing Ben, I'm still amazed that you can handle all that volume on every lift, I'd be lying curled up on the ground crying like a small girl knee by now if I was doing all that volume.

Back is a bit worn out now. The pulls weren't too hard, but were quite painfull. Had to use a lot off will power to complete all the sets, mind just didn't want to do it but they came up fast enough when forced. Pressing was easy enough.

Sets of 5 on Friday Eek

Couldn't face the thought of doing deadlifts tomorrow morning so did them tonight.

Deadlift:
10x bar
5x 60kg
5x 110kg
3x 160kg
5x 205kg
5x 205kg
4x 205kg
5x 205kg
3x 205kg
5x 205kg (touch and go for this set)
Was supposed to be 6 sets of 5. Tough going, although T&G on the last set was nice- could have got a few more! On the last set I was listening to the soundtrack from the Untouchables film (the bit where they storm the bridge)- very uplifting! Ideally I'd have been doing this tomorrow night and resting today, but the wife doesn't want me gyming it on a Friday night, so needs must.

Some strict in the morning. Lower back feels a bit battered, almost bruised feeling (without visible bruising). No more deads 'till Monday now though. Yahoo! Grin
