Thanks Iain, yep it's good too eat.

Thanks Rick, I am going to give strongman a shot this year, but to me to put on another 10KG bodyweight, ain't going to happen well not natural, I would have too go on the JUICE, which I ain't going to do too old now, and just training for fun, even if I put on another 1-2KG bodyweight I will be very HAPPYHappy.

Smith Seated Wide Grip Front Press:

7 Sets 1 Rep 20/40/60/80/100/110/120KG, just concentrating on speed.

45 Degree Incline Barbell Bench Press:

6 Sets 1 Rep 20/60/100/130/150/160KG, first time doing these in years, suprised who easy the 160KG felt.

Standing Dumbell Clean And Strict Press:

3 Sets 10 Reps 15/30/35KG, that is as heavy as the Dumbells in the Kelvin Hall go to far too light, Will have to do this In Dumbarton when I go there becasue they have got Dumbells that go upto 60KGCool.

I am actually enjoying going a lot lighter and Concentrating on Speed work, I hope it pays offRoll-Eyes.

Raw Bench Press

3 Sets 25/20/15 Reps 20KG.
6 Sets 1 Rep 60/100/130/150/170/190KG, just concentrating on speed, the 190KG flew up probably in under a second, my old Dad is 65 and under 80KG and he done 120KG raw bench today, I was tempted to go for a 210KG raw Bench, but I am just getting over this pec tear so I thought better of itRoll-Eyes.

45 Degree Incline Bench Press:

5 Sets 1 Rep 60/100/120/140/162.5KG, again concentrating on speed work.

Raw Squat To A Bench:

5 Sets 1 Rep 70/120/170/220/250KG.

Front Squats:

4 Sets 1 Rep 70/100/120/145KG, first time doing these in ages, felt easy, I used a towel wrapped around the bar, I was not used to the pain of these on the shouldersEmbarassed.

Again just concentrating on speed using about 20-30KG less than I could have on most exercises, and never going to failure any more, because I was just burning myslef out.

Thanks Thing, I agree with the event training, I would be PISH at any medelys or endurance stuff, but I train myself most of the time, and find it very hard to get any motivation, even when training in dumbarton, I train with a great 18 Year old starting strongman who is about 80KG and very strong. but I am so far ahaed of him, that I really do not push anything, I really need to train with guys a lot stronger than me, but I can not find any, to train with, also my stones are terrible, every time I have tried them I have partially torn me Bicep, so I will def compete in a novice u105KG comp this year, and see what my weakness is, and really work on them, and I will get a Hellva BeatingGrin.

Standing Barbell Strict press:

7 Sets 10/3/1/1/1/1/1 Reps 20/40/60/72.5/82.5/92.5/100KG, first time ever strict pressing a Barbell, it felt really easyHappy.

75 degree Incline Smith Press:

4 Sets 1 Rep 60/80/110/130KG, concentrating on speed.

Standing Speed Press:

8 Sets 3 Reps 70KG. 30 second rests between sets, what a pumpRoll-Eyes.

this is it you need to practice what way you look at it, i'm in the same boat as you training by myself, have had training partners over the years so that helps.
but what i would do is to train 3 to 4 events each time but always different ones and this will give you a broader look at what your good at and bad at.
get the young fellow to push you tell him that. in my mind i think you should be training in the region or 5 to 8 reps just now and this will follow through to the more mobile events or it does help.

events to try, car deadlift hold or reps, stones to shoulder reps, or max, yoke runs, farmers hold or walk, tyre flip, crucifix hold, loading medley's, but if you need any advice then just ask the guys who do strongman here.

Cheers Thing was going to do stones today and events, but the cuboard that had the Stones in it, was locked and they could not find the keys, so I done a lot of Grip work.

Fat Bar Deadlifts:

6 Sets 1 Rep 60/100/140/160/180/200KG.
1 Sets 3 Reps 225KG, only second time using the Fat Bar last time was 3 months ago, the 225KG was easy, but when I got it to lockout it just fell out of my Left Hand, to me this is very fat there is stil about 1 Inch left of space when I close my Hands around it, I am happy I managed thisHappy.

Fat Bar Clean And Strict Press:

Numerous sets of 60/70/80/85KG, then a Continental with 90KG, first time ever trying a Continental, it was very strange, bruised me Stomach, really need to practice thisGrin.

Fat Bar Standing Curls:

2 Sets 6 Reps 40/60KG, an awsome pump, very light weight, but an amazing exercise for forearms and BicepsHappy.

Bent Over Barbell Rows:

4 Sets 5 Reps 60/100/130/150KG, not done these in years.

Holds From Chinning Bar With A Towel Wrapped Around It:

1 Set 30 Seconds, bloody Hard:
1 Set 23 Seconds, Even Bloody Harder, this set with an overhand grip.

Towel holds are very hard work. I used to do towel chins too, very good for grip strength

Some excellent training Stevie, all your sessions sound real fun, if a little painful Wink
