Very nice axle press mate. 115KG for 5 reps, no leg drive, is extremley impressive

What is your max log mate? Bet you a 130KG+ log presser already (I'm jealous LOL) Happy

Cheers JC, a 130KG log would be nice, but I do not do it at all, just every few months or so, so I highly doubt it the now, you will get the 130KG log before me, and I will be jealous or is that enviousTongueGrinWink.

Deadlift From Middle Of Shins:

6 Sets 1 Rep 70/120/170/210/240/270KG, had to drop the 270KG at about the half way point felt a wee pull in back, so was not chancing any injury this close to the comp.

Front Squat:

4 Sets 1 Rep 60/100/120/140KG, easy enougth, but wee bit of stiff back here.

Speed Standing Push Presses:

6 Sets 1 Rep 60/80/100/110/120KG, very easy just working on speed and wee bit more technique, but still just pressing this, then 1 Set 10 Reps 105KG again trying to go as fast as I couldHappy.

Called it a day here, wee bit of back pain, going to take 3-4 days off, and rest this, cause I feel a big Injury going to happen if I do notRoll-Eyes.

Bodyweight, do not know I am just Fat, and loving itTongue.

Trained in Dumbarton TodayHappy.

Axle Clean And Press:

I got 4 reps of the 105KG Axle in 75 Seconds, still technique, absolutly s**t, but I am getting there, Andy done 130KG axle for 2 reps easy, and I am sure he has at least a 150KG axle in him.

Car Deadlift Hold:

I managed 25 and 27 Seconds, considering I got 15 Seconds Last week, it is getting better all the time, all the other guys got 30 to 40 seconds + on this, very impressive, I can see some of them getting close to 1 minute on the day, it was a car with a 110KG atlas stone in the back, big Andy Cairney, done the same with 3 guys standing on the frame so that was an extra 300KG, on the frame, he got 4 reps, and had a few more there as well, BRUTAL.

Keg Carry:

I got 40 Metres, so an improvement of 10 Metres from last week, Craig got 62 Metres, and I am sure will get more on the day.

Stones:

a serious from 90, 100, 110, 130KG on to a barrel about 54-56 Inch in 75 Seconds, I nearly got the 130KG to it as well, I have never done anything like this, back sore, so when back is fresh I hope to nail this and atleast move the 150KG 1/4 of an InchTongue, Andy Cairney done the 180KG stone for 3 Reps continous and I am sure he had 5-6 Reps in him, I have to remember him to do 5 next week, so I will say 6 to him next weekGrin, the other guys done this easy, really great to watch, I need a lot of work on this.

Everyone of the guys where BRILLIANT, I really enjoyed the day, there was 3 steve's there including me, andy, george, craig, and Darren, best training sessions I have ever had, and I am happy with my third real training session, still need another 100 to get even a wee bit betterGrin.

Weighed myself today and Iam a fat as f**k 98KG, you beautyGrin.

well done steve again today mate i told you your stones would improve very fast once you pick up the tricks
you would have got that 130k stone today but you could not get a good contact
some nice warmed up tacky and they will fly up

your doing well, just three sessions and your improvments are fantastic
this is because of the solid foundation your building from, with a good level of gym strength
and you will improve the more time you spend learning the skills of strongman

we have one last session next week and we will go through all the events we will do some work on arm over arm as we have not had the chance

next week is the one you go mental and everyone will leave nothing in the gym sunday
you thought you have had it hard next week is a new level of pain

then the following week you rest up, carb up, keep busy and dont think to much about it
keep your mind clear

Come the day you show up on time, grab your shirt, listen to the reff, make sure your clear on all rules
when your name is called, you give it hell, everything you have done in training and more you did not even know you had
you walk away with no regrets, clear in your head that you gave it your all
and where you place is not important
just that you did the best you could

not many guys enter a national strongman comp for their first comp, not many guys enter after only a months event training, so your right in a the deep end, up against in my opinion some of the best of 105 guys in britain, not just scotland

so just having the balls to compete is good enough for my respect
you will do well steve and i am sure you can take a few scalps on your stong events
i will do my best to make sure you have a great event to make your strongman debut and make sure all the guys have a well run comp
i think it is going to be a cracker of a comp mate
it could be the comp of the year in scotland
i just wish i could dropp 30kg for the day and play - jammy bas***ds

Andy I can't thank you enougth for the training you have been putting me through, it has totally done me in BIG TIME, but I am loving itGrin.

Just watching you and the other guys has gave me extra motivation to go a wee bit more.

Thanks for putting on the comp, and for all the organising you have to do to get it together, I really think a lot of other guys do not understand the stress and hard work you have too do, I have a wee bit of insight in helping the team comp, and that was brutal.

I ain't kidding when I say this is the first time in my life I have ever trained like this, it is very hard, and strongman is probably the most brutal sport there is, what have I got myself into.

Andy you would have to be my height to lose 30KG, and trust me you do not want to be my heightTongue.

Cheers again Andy, and I will see you Sunday, I will bring a sick bucket this time thenGrin.
