Great work, Stevie. Just remember it's a battle against yourself, no one else, and you'll be just fine.

Was absolutley f**kED from yesterday's Strongman session, so had a very easy sessionHappy.

Raw Bench Press:

5 Sets 3 Reps 60/90/120/150/180KG, this is weird cause I have not been concentrating on bench just been doing reps for last few months, but could have done 5 Reps at 180KG strange.

45 Degree Incline Bench Press:

4 Sets 3/3/3/2 Reps 60/100/130/160KG.

Power Cleans:

4 Sets 1 Rep 40/60/80/100KG, was done in at this stage, and these felt very heavy, first time I have done these in 2 months, and it showed, back playing up a wee bit so chucked it here.

Bodyweight 98KG.

Trained in Dumbarton Yesterday.

Deadlift From Top Of Shins DO With Straps:

7 Sets 1 Rep 20/120/160/200/240/270/300KG, big PB for me at this height and it was very hard.

Front Squat:

5 Sets 1 Rep 20/60/80/100/130/150KG, very easy.

Seated Dumbell Press:

6 Sets 3 Reps 10/20/30/40/50/60KG Dumbells, only got 1 Rep at the 60KG Dumbells, and it felt like it took an hour to lock these out but I done itGrin.

Close Grip bench To A 3 Board:

4 Sets 3 Reps 60/100/140/170KG, felt like a bar.
1 Set 8 Reps 140KG to Chest with a 2 Second pause on each rep.

I have not deadlifted from ground now for about 3 weeks, I seem to have a weird back injury that only really hurts when I deadlift from the ground very strange, so I will not be doing any Deadlifts from the ground for 5 weeks total until comp, I hope I at least get 1 Rep on the day, but this is looking very unlikely now, very ANNOYINGAngry.

Bodyweight 98KG, and still smoking 20 Fags a day, I will need oxygen for this compGrin.

Cheers Thing and JC, it is just from top of shins not from floor, I WISHWink.

Trained in Dumbarton Again Today.

Deadlifts:

Warmed up to 230KG and done 3 easy reps in about 20 Seconds, reckon I could have got 5-7 Reps in 75 Seconds, and only a wee bit of pain in lower back after it, still annoying, the thing with these is that it is done at the end of the Strongman Comp when I will be SHATTERED, so will be happy to get 5 on the dayRoll-Eyes.

Seated Front Press Starting From Chin:

4 Sets 1 Rep 60/100/120/130KG, very strange place to start from felt akward pressing it, like it was going all over the place, much harder than from the bottom position on chest WEIRD.

Dumbell Clean And Strict Press:

4 Sets 10 Reps 10/20/30/40KG Dumbells, happy with thisHappy.

Arnold Concentration Curls For The GUNZGrin:

3 Sets 6 Reps 10/20/25KG Dumbells.

Only 1 more session left on Sunday then rest the week, and I will be prepared to get a hellava BEATINGTongue.

Bodyweight 98KG.

Trained in Dumbarton TodayHappy.

F*cked my knee yesterday playing Football, and it was agony today, so no the best session before the compUnhappy.

Axle Clean And Press:

Warmed up then 105KG for 3 reps in about 35 Seconds, still had another 40 Seconds left, if my knee was feeling OK I would have got 5 reps today, but stopped at 3, happy anyway, Big Andy Cairney got 2 reps out of the 140KG Axle, and his second rep looked effortless, it was great to seeHappy

Barrel walk for Distance:

Did not even attempt this, but Craig got about 65 Metres well done CraigHappy.

Farmers Hold For time 130KG:

I got about 21 Seconds then grip just went on the right side, I have got a lot of work to do on this, Stevie Stainless "Big Banana HandsGrin" got about 47 Seconds I think, brutal.

Sled Drag Attached To A Rope Arm Over Arm:

First time trying this, very hard with this sore knee today but I just sucked it up and went for it, got 155KG of weights on Sled for 15 Metres in 21 Seconds I think, and it was hard, then I got 230KG of weights on sled for 15 Metres in 31 Seconds with a slap from Andy, "Cheers AndyGrin", and it was even harder, I was shattered after this, nothing left.

Stones To Barrel About 54-56 Inch:

90/100/110/130KG stone one after the other, the tacky went hard at the 130KG I lapped it but it just kept rolling out my hand very Hard and bloody annoying, then Andy done the 5 Reps at the Big Stone, it was great to see, because there was no grip in his tacky after his first 3 reps he kept lapping them but there was no grip or stickyness, so he got a bit more and done another 2 reps very good, with good tacky I am sure he would have got 6 reps today, hopefully this does not happen on the day for meRoll-Eyes.

I was going to make this my last training day, but I will train Monday and Tuesday, and hopefully this knee will be better, because I know I had a lot more in me, but I just could not push it with this BLOODY KneeUnhappy.

Had a great day again today everyone training today where great guys, it is a great atmosphere Strongman, I wish I started it years ago, Cheers Andy for the Knee supports, they where a big help, after this comp, I am really going to start pushing it harder for my next comps, and enter anything and everything, even if Iam not strong enougth for some comps, I am just going to do them, because I realise you have got to jump in at the deep end, to get better, and take one Hellva Beating After The OtherGrinGrinGrin.

Cheers everyone for the support, I need itGrin.

My knee is F*CKED, I tried to get a doctors appointment, but they said I would have to wait a weekConfused.

It is clicking in and out when I bend it, just a freak injury.

Not trained all week, and caught that FLU thing going about so was in bed for 3 days shaking, coughing, and generally greetinGrin.

I am total wreck for this comp, it is just one of those things that happen, but I am still doing it, even if the knee and leg falls off during the nightGrin.

I am going to drink 5 coffees and take 4 pain killers before the comp, and hopefully will get a caffine and pain killer boostRoll-Eyes.

Again thanks to everyone for the good wishes , I will not have access to internet until Sunday so I will update my last place finish Sunday nightTongue.

Cheers Thing And JoniHappy.

Great day at Scotlands U105KG Strongman Championships today.

I came last as expected I am very PLEASEDTongue.

There was a new champion crowned Today and that was Mike Daly"I am sure that is who won it", what an awsome performance by Mike, it was something to watch I was in aweHappy.

I will go through the events one by one:

105KG Axle Clean And Press:

I got 4 Reps, but again it was my contenintel clean technique that F*cked me, I came 4th or 5th at this, so I was happy, JNR won this with 7 Reps, with great technique and raw strength, then it all went down hill from here.

Barrel walk Max Distance:

Very happy with this I got a 20 Metre PB and went 60 Metres, Mike Daly Got 160 Metres, that is one of the best distances I have ever seen, it was Awsome.

Car Hold:

Only tried this twice, but it was about 200KG heavier"I think" than what I was practising with, so the second I picked it up, it just fell out my hands, a lot of work to be done in this by me.

Stones:

I got the 90/100/110/ and nearly got the 130KG over, but it was over a yolk, and I stood about 2 or 3 feet away from it so I had to walk with this stone on my chest to get it over and I just missed it and no more, but I just gave up here, Lee Alan done all the stones right up to the 170KG, and it was awsome.

Arm Over Arm on Sled 300KG:

managed to finish course so I was happy, but last again, man it felt like groundhog day at this timeGrin.

Deadlift 230KG for reps in 75 Seconds:

nearly got 5, it went right up, but fell out my hands just at lock out and hit me on my leg, so I have a hellva bruise, I think I came 8th in this, the winner got 13 Reps friggin awsome.

Great day I was just there this time to enjoy the day, with only 4 real strongman sessions for this and injury's and illness I knew I had no chance, but everybody was great, and the atmoshpere was electric, it was BRILLIANT.

I also realise that smoking 20 fags a day does not go with strongman, my endurance was shocking.

Thanks to Andy Cairney for putting on a great comp, Darren for a great gym, and everyione else who helped.

So I am now going to call my self the weakest U105KG man in Scotland, a title I am very proud ofGrinGrinGrin.
