Cheers JC, I will be very interested in how the glue works for the stones, defo tell me about it after you try itHappy.

Trained in Dumbarton Today:

Deadlift From Slightly Below Mid Shin Do With Straps:

7 Sets 1 Rep 60/120/160/200/230/260/275KG PB againHappy.

Partial Close Grip Bench Press From 3 Inch Off Chest:

7 Sets 3/3/3/1/1/1 Reps 60/100/140/170/190/200KG PB From this height, and very easyHappy.

Speed Steal Log Press:

5 Sets 1 Rep 70/80/90/100/110KG, very easy, first time doing log in 3 months as well.

Stones Shouldered:

About 6-8 Reps at the just 80-90KG stone:

Hussefelt Stone 120KG:

This was a bas***d to pick up, my arms are so wee that I could not wrap my arms around this even at the smallest bit, just managed to pick it up and done 3 Sets of 10 Metres with it, just holding it in my forearms, you defo need long arms for this to actually get a grip, very awkard, calf was very sore as well, so chucked it here.

Farmers Holds:

3 Sets 20 Seconds 70/90/110KG.

Now I have a comp next Sunday the Luss highland games, and they have a Hussafelt stone carry for distance, deadlift max, and 110KG Farmers for Distance, now The Calf and Bicep Injury I have the now, means that I will only get 10 Metres with Farmers and Hussafelt, and will barely be able to hold anything over 200KG on deadlift mixed grip so I am f**ked, but I am still doing it, even though I will come last again, I will just do it as Martin saysGrin.

Oh I good luck to all the Scottish guys doing the UKSC today, Come on Andy and Bigken.

Bodyweight 97KG.

Cheers JC, I am going to go all out this year and try and get a 140KG standing strict press, and maybe even try some lemon fresh stuff as well, in my trainingGrin.

This is the third week of my secret russian training routine, had too cut it short by 2 weeks, because I am f**ked squating, deadlifting, and benching 3 times per week, had a crackin PB day today, even after just 3 weeks of speed and percentage training this s**t works, I would have not believed it if I did not try it, next up strongman comp this sunday, even with 3 major injuries, so I will be last again, then on to another 9 week even secretier russian routineGrin.

Raw Bench Press Starting From Chest:

Just used the power rack and set the pins too chest height then just press, simple realy, first time doing it, because there was no one too spot me, and was not chancing heavy bench without a spot.

8 Sets 1 rep 60/100/140/160/180/190/200/210KG, ya f**king dancer a 210KG paused bench starting from chest, and I still had a bit more in me, whoaaaaaTongue.

Raw Olympic Squats:

6 Sets 1 Rep 60/100/140/180/200/210KG, easy was going to try 230KG but did not want to be stuck at the bottom, if I did not get it.

Seated Dumbell Press:

4 Sets 5/5/5/8 Reps 10/20/30/50KG Dumbells.

So 3 Pr's today, and I still had a bit more left, man these russian know something about training, I love the commiesTongue.

Bodyweight 98KG.

Cheers everyone, the only thing I am any good at is Benching, and that is itGrin.

Stephen great to meet you today, I could see you where itching to compete, but the family where there, so the missus comes firstGrin.

Great going in your try at the UKSC Scotland's, that was awsome even being there, my hats off to you.

Great day today at Luss Strongest Man, the sun was splitting I nearly got sunstroke, I am not kidding I thought I was going to faint on the deadlift, and the other events.

I think 12-13 Guys where competing today.

Deadlift:

I came third, at 250KG, got the 260KG to half up the shins and the grip just went, I would have got 265-270KG with straps, but they did not allow them, and all my training recently has been with straps, well it is very hard for me to deadlift mixed grip with a ripped bicep, was happy, but could have done better, Andy Cairney, won it with a redicoulsly easy 290KG, it flew up like nothing, he stopped there, but could have went, I reckon 310-320KG.

Farmers 120KG:

I came about 5th-6th I think, it was suppossed to be 110KG Farmers, which I trained for, and because of my ripped calf, I knew I could not get any heavier, and when I noticed it was 120KG I went s**t, but I got 25 Metres with them and just chucked it there, did not even try more, I felt the calf going at about 15 Metres, it was on bumpy grass, and it gave me a shock, so was happy with that, Andy won it with 50 Metres timed, it was very fast.

Stone Carry:

I got last here went 50 Metres with the 120KG stone, and I nearly passed out, was happy, because I only got 10 Metres with it last week, so a 40 Metre PB, I think Graig, or Andy won it, with 80+ Metres.

At this stage I was ready to faint in the heat, I was f**ked, but enjoyed the day, so big thanks to Darren from DAWC for organising it, and to Andy for winning it, and Craig how came in Second, and to every one else who competed, and my 2 young training partners who where very goodHappy.

Also remember I came last at the uk scottish but it was great fun and I got to pull a truck Grin .
Sounds like you done well, pb's are what it's all about! How'd you place overall? Hope the injury's held out too.

Hi Stephen, you done brilliant at the UKSC, remember it was against the Big Boys, and if I was there you would have been second lastTongue.

The deadlift felt easy, but without straps, I knew I could not hold much more than 250KG, so no straps for me anymoire, except maybe on partial deads.

I think I came about 5th-6th, it was a great day.
