tender forearms Member 193, 337 posts | Thing said: your a strong dude stevie, and you are hitting some heavy heavy numbers. what comp do you have in mind next or are you just going to get a good ammount of strongman training in? Cheers Thing, I the Strongman training has not been going well lately, every time I go my training partner does not turn up, or does not want to do anything, so I am in a catch22 situation, I am not training strongman hardly at all right now, and I want too, but I do not have the motiviation to do it myself, I am motivated when I get there and either no one's there, or they can't be arsed doing anything, so it is eating into my energy, it is really bugging me. It is very hard for me too really push myself on anything at the moment, especially bench and incline, when know ones there to spot you, because I do not want a 200KG+ bench pinning me to the bench, if I am just there myself, and same with Incline and squats, and getting the stones ready, or building the Yolk, or setting the farmers up and loading unloading all the weights on and off, it is just too draining to do it myself, I am a wee bit pissed off as you can imagine, I just wish I could train with someone who has the motivation and drive, to want to train strongman, for I know I would come on leaps and bounds, but I am just staggnating at the moment and actually going backwards, so the comps will have too wait, until I try and sort this out, because it is just deppressing, I just wish someone in Glasgow, or Dumbarton where I train strongman, would let me join in, but I can't find anybody. But saying that if a comp comes up, I will probably do it anyway, even though I am doing virtually no heavy event training, so another beating is waiting for the weeman

tender forearms Member 193, 337 posts | Trained in Dumbarton today, a mate came along yes Deadlifts: 6 Sets 3 Reps 60/100/140/180/220/250KG PB time ya beauty, but the 250KG was done DO with straps, so I cheated, but it is all I can do with this ripped bicep the now, so a wee bit happy, felt easy as well PowerClean And Strict Press: 6 Sets 1 rep 40/50/80/90/100/112.5KG. Contanental Clean And Push Press: 1 Sets 1 rep 122.5KG, easy enougth, but nearly fell backwards when holding weight overhead, tripped over a weight, and s**t ma self Farmers Holds: 4 Sets 20 second holds 70/100/120/140KG, first time ever holding this and my hands where in agony but held on, well pleased grip is coming on a wee bit, even with dwarf hands Bodyweight 97KG.

tender forearms Member 193, 337 posts | Trained in Dumbarton Today no bad session. Raw Paused Olympic Squats 1 Second At Bottom: 6 Sets 1 Rep 60/100/140/180/200/220KG, on the way up on the 220KG, I felt a weird pull in my right upper leg, think I slighty ripped something, first time doing these and they are the hardest thing I ever done, was nearly going to bail on the 220KG but kept going Seated Press Starting From Nose: 4 Sets 3/3/3/1 Rep 60/100/120/140KG, and it was very hard, defo a weak point for me, because I have sort of seated press 145KG, and this felt much harder. Close Grip Bench Lockouts Starting From 2 Inch Off The Chest: 6 Sets 3/3/3/3/1/0 Reps 60/100/140/170/200/210KG, Big PB for me at this, waited 10 minuites before the 210KG got it half way and that was it, pleased anyway. Lying Dumbell Press Mimnicking Log Hand Placement: 4 Sets 10 8/6/5/10 Reps 15/30/45/60KG Dumbells, I reckon I need atleast 70KG+ Dumbells for this now. Andy Cairney Came in and got talking to him, he done a cracking workout standing press up to 140KG for 3 Pish easy reps, High Incline Log up to 160KG for 2 Reps, and Log Press up to to 140KG for 3 easy easy reps, he has done now 170KG, f**kING AWSOME, a great guy, a pleasure to talk too, and when he starts back the strongman training he said I can join in, YA BEAUTY, you can probably tell I am a wee bit HAPPY Also I am goin to start a pressing session with the Olympic Weightlifters Guys, John Maceon and big Tam on a Friday to get my press Hopefully flying up, I am looking forward to all my hard sessions now. Bodyweight 97KG.

tender forearms Member 193, 337 posts | Cheers Thing and JC, I bloody hope I come on leaps and bounds training with Andy And BigKen if he is there, because if I don't then I will have the worst record in Strongman history The olympic guys did not turn up today I waited an hour and a half before I even started my session, felt totally f**kED waiting all this time, but just went and trained my self as usual. Push Press: 6 Sets 3 Reps 60/80/100/110/120/130KG, the 130KG set where continous reps no holding at top, still well pleased with this, because I was shattered, and even the bar felt heavy Seated Press: 4 Sets 3 Reps 60/80/100/120KG easy enougth. Close Grip bench Press: 3 Sets 10 Reps 60/100/140KG easy, defo had a at least 190KG close grip in me today, yeah beauty. Lying Dumbell Tricep Extensions: 3 Sets 10 Reps 10/20/30KG Dumbells, then a Bodybuilding pump set of 20 with 10KG Dumbells, what a pump Bodyweight 97KG.
