Cheers JC, I my training seems to be going all right the now, but the Injury can just be around the corner as know, I need plenty of event training this year, I can't wait to start to train with the Big BoysGrin.

It would be nice to get a 140KG log this year, but I have only done it 3 times this year, and about 6 times in my life, so I need plenty of training in it, and thanks again for the comments, I appreciate it especially coming from an excellent strongman as your self, and you still have plenty of potential left. you SODTongue.

4 sets of 5 reps @ 100KG strict press is very impressive mate. Good DL too buddy. Are the straps because of an injury?

Cheers JC, I have ripped my left bicep at the top, and have a forearm injury that I find very hard to turn my right arm round to hold the bar, so that's what the straps are for, hopefully it will heal in timeRoll-Eyes.

your a strong dude stevie, and you are hitting some heavy heavy numbers. what comp do you have in mind next or are you just going to get a good ammount of strongman training in?

Cheers Thing, I the Strongman training has not been going well lately, every time I go my training partner does not turn up, or does not want to do anything, so I am in a catch22 situation, I am not training strongman hardly at all right now, and I want too, but I do not have the motiviation to do it myself, I am motivated when I get there and either no one's there, or they can't be arsed doing anything, so it is eating into my energy, it is really bugging me.

It is very hard for me too really push myself on anything at the moment, especially bench and incline, when know ones there to spot you, because I do not want a 200KG+ bench pinning me to the bench, if I am just there myself, and same with Incline and squats, and getting the stones ready, or building the Yolk, or setting the farmers up and loading unloading all the weights on and off, it is just too draining to do it myself, I am a wee bit pissed off as you can imagine, I just wish I could train with someone who has the motivation and drive, to want to train strongman, for I know I would come on leaps and bounds, but I am just staggnating at the moment and actually going backwards, so the comps will have too wait, until I try and sort this out, because it is just deppressing, I just wish someone in Glasgow, or Dumbarton where I train strongman, would let me join in, but I can't find anybody.

But saying that if a comp comes up, I will probably do it anyway, even though I am doing virtually no heavy event training, so another beating is waiting for the weemanGrin.

It's hard training yourself, alot of the time I just train by myself also and it's very hard to push yourself and if you need a spotter your screwed Angry . I know what you mean about having to set everything up yourself, I have to drag everything out of the shed for strongman training then dismantle everything and put it all back, it's a workout in it's self Tongue . I always enjoy going and training with other groups for the trash talk and I always learn alot off everyone. Cool
Once you start training with the guys from dumbarton regular I bet you'll progress like crazy and I can see you giving alot of guys a fright at next years comps. Cool Trainings looking solid recently!Eek

Front Squat:

5 Sets 1 rep 60/100/120/140/160KG, easy enougth.

Seated Press:

4 Sets 3 reps 60/80/100/120KG.

Seated Partial press Starting From Above Head:

6 Sets 1 rep 60/100/120/140/150/160KG.

Incline IFSA Log Trainer press:

5 Sets 5 Reps 50/90/110/130/150KG, last set was as hard as f**k, I start with it on a bench in front of me then roll it up my chest, bruised my stomach when bring it back to the Bench, thought it was going to stick me to the bench, great exercise but bloody dangerous, and sort of tweaked my left ShoulderRoll-Eyes.

Lying dumbell Tricep Extensions:

3 Sets 10/8/6 reps 15/30/40KG Dumbells.

Bodyweight 97KG.

I'll definetly head up to Dumbarton for events, just give me a shout. Happy I was going to do the dumfries novice but think I'll have to leave it as after doing the uksc comp(even though I got hammered)it's not the done thing to take a step back into the novice comps, So I'll need to wait untill next year and see what strongman comps i can do? At least it'll give me sometime to get better at the events.
I might do the scottish bench champs next month and I'LL do the scottish seniors in nov.

Hey don't sell yourself short, your one strong f**ker and once you get abit of experience under your belt and sort your injuries I'm certain you'll be very competitive. Cool

Cheers Stephen, good luck at your upcoming compsHappy.

I am in Dumbarton on a Saturday, or I could come Sunday if you want and we could do events like, yolk, farmers, stones, log press, just have a all over strongman session, I will be great to see you again, just let me know and I will be thereHappy.

I was going to do the Open Dumfries Novice as well, but I have not done any strongman stuff at all, so I am going to leave it as well, to I at least get a few event sessions in, I think it is the intelligent thing to do.
