lol no chance mate no where near ready for that standard yet! thanks came 3rd on deadlift behind mark clancy and liam hunt. loved the event though wish id got 7reps. loved stones.

Well your deadlift certainly is mate! and apart from overhead ( in which I share your pain as you know) I didn't see any particular weaknesses.I think you would be fine in the Northerns mate and you have nothing to lose... except my respect if you dont man the f**k up and do it!!!
Joking aside I reckon you would enjoy it and suprise yourself but I fully understand you wanting to wait till next year when no doubt you will be more than ready

22nd March
Jogged 3.5miles (40min)
Bad I know I set off to do some fast walking down the canal and realised i actually walk as fat as i can on my own normally so was forced to jog. Not as bad as i thought. I need to getthis weight off for U90kg Yorkshires Novice.
23rd March
Bag of s**t Session. Legs still aching not really worth typing infact didnt even write it down. Something like
Strict Press
8x40kg
3x55kg
2x65kg
2x62.5kg
1or2x62.5kg??
Push Press
Fx82.5kg
2x80kg
1x80kg
Dire!
At least Shane was in in deadlidting, spoke to him, chat with Kenny then Hixxy emmerged looking like he wanted to kill someone
More rest requried. Can barely walk with leg DOMS lol

Dont forget you competing in a fairly brutal comp on Sunday mate. I wouldnt read too much into this weeks training - just rest for a few days and hit it again fresh next week.

Chris, true mate was going to rest all week then mrs wanted rid of me to do her devina dvd so went to gym to do cardio... but did pressing instead lol. came home in bad mood and exhausted. steve may try that might not! Leg doms still bad bugger. im still impressed with your deadlifts from sunday mate given that your best is 200kg off the floor Rodger25/03/11 @ 08:56

Said id do a comp write up and havent until now.Champions of the Future, Olympic Gym Ashton 20th March 2011
Drove down from Lancaster with Mrs, her mate and my mate, during journey I'd actually stopped worrying about the comp so much. Got down to OSG and thought oh christ look at the weather. My mrs said maybe its inside - I said there wont be enough room and saw few guys shoving stuff about in yard away in preparation.
Enjoyed the briefing by Mark and Referee's talk by Tony!
Just looking around at some of my competitors I thought oh fooook!!! I thought they all looked like they wanted to kill me, prob just they were nervous like me
Farmers
This happened like a blrr, picked up ok but couldn’t run just tried to keep steady. I didn’t listen properly in the briefing and misunderstood the term "break the line" I prob had 3/4 of the frame past the line when I should have dropped sooner! - 18.3 ish sec I think
Log/Axle overhead medley
Had major issues in training even getting a 80kg log up so knew this would be a struggle. Went in positive, fine on the Axle in fact felt light! Log I forgot everything people had told me, didnt hold my breath I think I really gave up and when I tried cleaning it for 3rd time it just fell foward - pretty turd really - near bottom id imaging in placings - 1 axle 0 log
Car deadlift
Id overheard someone say "Ben cant lift it" and then I thought oh bugger it MUST be heavy (I found out later of course Ben could lift it!!!). Saw a few lads fail to lift the car and this worried me a little. Set off wiered feeling not lifted a car (on a frame anyway) before. After the initial slack I pulled and felt ok. I was relieved as I was the first lad to get a rep at all. I cant quite remember if they got harder, but with 10 sec left I stopped - should have tried for a 7th rep! Really Really enjoyed this event. - 3rd I think (6 reps)
Sandbag Loading
Had in my mind I was going to do it like training even though a stockier bag. Nobody said use chalk Spoke to pagan about different techniques, and for some stupid reason I went with the one that most other people WERENT using and it cost me dearly. f**ked around like an old women I'll know next time I have a similar event how to do it! I even ignored my mrs to start with when she said use chalk - but then put some on - placing haven’t a clue (slow)
Conans
Dreaded this, worse thing Ive ever done I think, exercise wise, obviously Its the same for everybody. Picked up, it swung me back, stabilised then set off. I was very slow but tried to keep steady. Horrible. Prob could have to few meters more but seemed to give up. I think Im glad i did now going into stones - 3 reps and a bit
Stones
Set off well and just got better – got good advice and support. I seemed to get faster on these, quite weird really! – 8 Reps (top 3 or 4???)
6th overall enjoyed the day a huge amount and met some brilliant people.

24th March
40min on x-trainer (at home). Hardly ever use this, the mrs uses it and I cant usually be arsed but I really need to be arsed now.
Weight 93.8kg this morning post piss.
Got a few vids from last sundays comp to upload but the mrs has videoed them on the piss - how do you rotate vids?
