a question

as you know, i have been doing rack pulls for the last few weeks, and now i have 3 weeks training left, the week before i want to play it quite safe, as failing reps is a bit of a headf**k 1 week out

so the next 2 weeks, i was thinking of going for 200kgx3 this week, then week after going 210 or so x3

this is because the week before my last comp, i got 200kgx2, and failed the third, and 2-3 weeks before that i pulled 227.5kg

what do you guys think?

maybe a tad, but i have a rather large arse, so my hips can come up a bit, but my arse is still in contact

Wicked stuff there Carl. Very good to double your pb. T was right, the bum definately come up on the second rep. It also looked like it moved a bit on rep 1, but Im not sure wether you put daylight between your ass and the bench. Good stuff mate Happy

yea, i just need to tuck my legs back a bit more

deadlifts, i was thinking i should use the next couple of weeks to establish a 3rep max

so on friday work upto 200x3, which will be a small pb, then the week after go 210 or so for 3 which would be great

3 weeks after i pulled 227.5, i did 200kg x2 with a failed third

Woohoo.. times a ticking! After this week I have only 2 full on weeks of training left!

As for our 3 way wager, is this the rules;

1) Most number of pb's wins e.g. 0-9

2) In case of a tie the overall increase in each of the 3 lifts added together e.g if I pb'd my bench twice I would just take the best lift and use that.

3) If that is still a tie then the winners divide the spoils.

So do we all agree to the above?

and people with beard are not alowed to win, neither are people under 100kg

having said that, i think the third rule, would possibly be a better way, because you getting a 15kg increase overall is better than me getting a 10kg increase, but if all your pb's were done on the last lift, so u had 3 pb's, but all mine were done over 2 lifts, then you should win, however i'm sure that favours me now i have read it back, so, carry on!
