Over all not too bad as a starting point

From a quick look i would point out the following:

Foot spacing seems way too wide in your starting position, try bringing it in a good way, somewhere around shoulder width

Hand spacing also seems a tad wide, as once you've cleaned it you actuallu bring it in to jerk, which i don't think i've seen anyone do before, again just try a narrower spacing.

On your jerk try to get your head through rather than looking up

Other than that not bad at all as i said. Andy will give you more pointers i'm sure, he has a better eye than me.

Would also recommend getting down to Adders if you want to get some proper coaching on them, always better in the flesh

Thanks fella's. I would love to have a proper oly session with you guys at adders. I will pop down for a session in the next week or so if thats ok???

That would pay dividends H. Pretty much as Jeff said. You can pick holes in even the best technicians form, but to avoid sensory overload you need half a dozen sessions where we just throw in 1 or 2 pointers/ session, you work on them and just do it, do it, do it. If you can, try and work in a Mon, Wed or Fri sesh and aim to start about 6 ish. That way we should have done the bulk of our stuff and will be able to give you a bit more one on oneWink

Thats would be apsolutely fantastic andy. I'm on comp prep atm so probs may only be able to get a few sessions in up until the comp. After that i will be fully committed.

Its a full blow leg dip into the lemon waters. Powerlifting will still be very much on the agenda and will be competing in the unequipped.

solid stuff, would be great if you would come along to drill these lifts, could use some company in the beginners section Grin

The equipment is great at Adders, makes it much nicer.

And its all good anyway i think, these lifts benefit general strength and explosiveness so it cant hurt your main focus I dont think.

Yee exactly and i lack explosivenes in both squat and deadlift. When are u next down??? I wasn't gonna train tommoz but wud come down if you guys will let meHappy.

I'm there on mondays and wednesdays at around 4.15ish (taking the 3.30 train from manchester). But its really Jeff and Andy who you are after, and me for moral support Grin

Personally H I'd leave it till after the comp. Keep focused on that and get it out of the way, then we can work towards making you into a real manGrin
