Excellent stuff Neil, had a feeling you would get 210!! Next time make sure you don't wear those shorts, it caught on them quite a bit and could have made it harder than it was - trackies or talc (until you buy a singlet to show off the ever growing belly Wink).

Seriously though, great progress!

Oh no, you're not going to pip me to my next goal again are you!? Wink

TBH on my goals for end of 2007 I want 180/120/220. I think all are achievable if I work hard at it. When will I go for the 220? I dunno, it depends how my other lifts go. I would like to try for a 110 bench in the next month or two. I would also like to try for a 160+ squat in a month or two too. We'll see.

For now I'm on Holiday. Driving down to the Pyrenees tomorrow morning and staying there for 8 days camping with some friends. So diet is going to go to s**t. However, I'm going to be running and cycling and swimming etc. so I fully expect to come back with a rippling six pack or... something Happy

How about you? When you going for your 220odd?

not for a while I'm resting my shoulder for 4 weeks which means no deadlifting so I'm going to concentrate on squatting and front squatting to try and build up my piss weak legs and then when I do start deads again I'm going to be concentrating on getting my technique better and bringing my legs into the lift a bit more! It will probably be a 2 steps back to go 3 steps forward sort of thing ,so in answer to your question probably
end of september /begining of october! by which time you will hopefully provided me with lots of targets to aim at!

We'll see Ed, I don't know so much. Don't know if it showed in that video but I was a little bit scared just before I started lifting and then I just went balls to the wall. Am I the only person to get a little bit scared before doing a heavy deadlift/squat?

Kinda southwest, but mainly west. In between La Rochelle and Bordeaux in the place called Saintes. It'll probably be about 5 hours drive tomorrow.

Thursday 2nd August

5km jog/run.
Abdo beaucoup burnage.

Wow that was unexpected. Turned up for my first training session with the local football and allez off for a run, followed by leapfrogging up and down the pitch, some 'abdo' work and finaf**kingly some football. Most of us were knackered by that point anyway. Ah well, at least it finished with a few drinkies for the '3rd half'.

OK well that's me out of here for a good week... cyas.

would'nt go so far as scared but deffinitely apprehensive! I think its the first bit of the lift where your pulling like f**k and nothing seems to be happening! its probably just fear of failure which is a good thing!

Back from holiday. Managed to lose 1kg while camping. I was 86kg this morning but 87kg when I left... sigh... I guess it was always going to happen. Also I didn't get good sleep, so feel a little knackered. However...

Monday 13th August

Squat: 71 x 6, 91 x 5, 131 x 3,3,3,3,3. 4-5mins rest between.

And that was it. No auxiliary work today, I just felt too fatigued. Also I've decided to change my training around so it's Mon Squat, Wed Bench and Fri DL. I'm hoping this will give a little more focus to my Squat which needs to start making some progress!
