i just got a proper belt two weeks b4 competition and its really helping the one i have now makes the old one look like a toy. it was quite hard to find one that was as large as i needed without paying a fortune for it. thank you for your kind words everyone

75x1 90x1
90x3 90x3 then cleaned but not pressed x2

then went a bit off the wall next did this next lot as one circuit no rest



75kg logpress one motion to over head x3
26kg one arm barbell snatch x4/4
40kgplus axle bar c+p x5 chucked log on shoulder went for a stroll 20 meters
55kg concrete bottle lifted like stones x3
2x 10kg in each hand pinch grip 30 secs
jogging half a mile

rested 2mins then did same again

felt mint after this

easy but felt something funny happen in left hammy at start of lift but the bar carried on moving so locked it out felt like there was more there but after i put it down felt like i had had really bad cramp tried 265 but didnt want to injure myself so i wasnt fully commited so it only moved a few inches ....................... to be continued after june 20th i may even start back squating and benching again

tried power cleans but this was just stupid with my leg all tight, so did some legpress calf raises, dumbell shrugs, and some curls was scared of completly f**king my leg so just cut my losses


Do you think these will be from a similar height to the strongman north novice final last year mate? I`m going to start putting some in.

75 x5 all clean and pressed in one

strict axle press
55plus bar x5 x3
40plus bar x12 not much rest between these as wanted ta get finished

not much its 5ft 5kg standard bar threaded threw a length of scaffolding thats about 3and a half ft at a guess 9kg max

310x1 pb was slow and shakey so left it there new belt has addedroughly 50kgs well impressed

lol i dont think its out too special its just the last one was a 17 pound effort from pullum. served its purpose. i just needed a proper thickness, properly size belt. how is the knee?

think this was the worst work out i have ever had due to many reasons. one the tyre push last night, the f**king weather, me being weak over head, me wanting to video one set of each excerisize. braking my back gate, using some different tacky for first time and it was like f**king butter while trying to lift stone but very good at ripping the skin of my leg later on.
log clean and press

95x2 100x2and a clean
stone x1 x1 and 2 squats with it x1 then binned by accident on a patch of mud(bounced of me tyres) got another rep after this but was very slippy so stopped

drag two landrover tyres tied together load with
concrete bottle and empty log 15 meters very fluid no stops

concrete block with 40 kg on log with 20kg on and a 25litre water bottle
10 meters very hard maybe longest moved in one go was 1 meters

was going ta but some more weight on and pull it forwards with belt on but i had to go pick up my little one up from nursery

finished off yesterdays workout should have been resting but needs must
drag two tyres concrete bottle and log 15 metersx1
same as above but used my addidas wrestling boots these seem to be very effective as this time went a bit quicker i think.

put belt on and tried pulling like truck pull thought this would have gone better e.g. used a lot more weight but this was not the case used the same weight
did 10 meters x2 added 20kg did 5 meters took the 20kg off did 15 meters with lots of rest inbetween each go these were hard i think maybe i should get a proper harness as i couldnt breath

second time back in the gym first one was just mainly f**king about and limbing about.

80x5 this was my old 1rm

95x1was quite slow but lock it out and striaght every thing up and held it for about 5 seconds just ta make sure i was in full control of it was well impressed a 15kg pb

tried behind the neck jerk for first time on proper olly bar
80x3 90x2 95x1 was easy i put 110 on but bottled it there wasnt much room and didnt want ta kill anyone
upright row thought these might help my power cleans that i cant do at mo

pulldowns and machine row not sure on weights

bench press first time in about 2 and a bit years

*started of with medium wide grip but it just felt slow and weird couldnt feel any muscles working just pain in joints. so came in to just within shoulder width and it felt much nicer more controled and a lot more explosive.
few hammer curls all the log work done over the last few months has made these come along alot.
felt weird not touching lower body
