tried out another new gym today samson and deliah's in haxby york has a really good set up. and i was told they dont mind if u drop something or put it down too loudly lol.(even thou its above a vets)
deadlifts all deadlifts from now on will have a one second or more pause at bottom

i get pissed off mid work out as i am not using same weight as i was last year but last year i realise now i was bouncing the weight off the floor as they have rubber encased plates there. so now i will try and not play basket ball with a barbell

good session today dead lift is starting to get some where now after starting to not cheat

partial just on top of my knee cap

shrugs done at various weight while deloading bar mainly pain in hands stopped me from busting out to many reps
did some machine rows and cable rows and even had some time for some bicep training

today took a trip up to absolute fitness (darren saddlers gym) log was out of action due to repaint. so decided to give his axle some light abuse.
axle press, first rep cleaned, all weights are plus the bar
60x5
80x5 x2
90xf cleaned but had grapped it just off centre and was going ta fall with it
80x5/4
60x5clean and pressall reps
front squat

130x2 x2 110x2 was going for 5
axle deadlift

150x5 supersetted with machine legpress 12reps with stack

120xhold with double over hand grip. thought these were going to be hard on my grip but wasnt. it was a scaffolding pole so was quite thick. but grip was never a problem wud of liked to have done these first to see wot reps i could have got with a higher weight
leg extension 120kg all sets 8reps supersetted with lying leg curl 50/55/60kg 12 reps some triceps

deads today wanted to start with rack pulls put some one was doing curls in rack wa**ers. so started with full rom
deads 100x5 140x5 180x3 200x2
240x1/f
220x2
dumbell row
52.5x5 x3
rack pulls just below knee

180x5 220x3 180x5
some shrugs starting with 180x6 working downwards to unload bar nothing to special as grip was fried and did not want ta use straps
rope rows was in pin hole 8 got 5 reps pin hole 5 12reps
cable row stack 6 reps x2
rowing machine 1000 meters in 3 mins 48secs
tried to see how far i could get in 1min but started real good then ran out of puff then did some biceps

in reply to joni yeah defo gonna do em again in opens. spoke to mark the other day and i dont think he was sure on dates. just gotta find out dates so i can get it off from work will be good to put faces to names

in reply to jamie come on now u deadlift 40kilos more than me and i carry around 65kgs more body weight (probably like carrying around an average sized woman) also i have long arms so my pressing is not very strong(p.s. i dont no where my viking press performance last year came from. also seen some of the footage from ur comps this year and you are doing well bud.

Now strongman north dates are up mate which one will you be having a go at? Mrs A thinks Im slightly mental having a go at teh opens after getting pissed on in the novice final last year but a good few of those competitors wouldnt have been out of place in the opens.
