Insanity last night they added an extra 10 minutes and the instructor had someone else take one of the rounds to do press ups next to me and owned me big style. Had to rank as one of the 10 physically hardest things I've done in my life.

Been walking like Douglas Bader but had a big squat attempt planned wanted 200x5 for Xmas and based on last week's 197x3 being a grinder wasn't optimistic

Squats 200x4 well happy 5 will be smashed next week
Press off pins 80x5
Power cleans 90x5x2

Happy with the power cleans 87 are usually no trouble but for some reason could only get 100 for a single. Think I'm actually going to finish thus year stronger than I started it si let's see what next year brings

Had a manta ray for Christmas to try and make sure I'm central under the bar for squatting to try and sort my wonky Ness.

Squats with manta ray 185x2 170x3x5
Bench 115x5x5
Deadlifts worked up to 235x3

The squats with the manta ray had the bar in a much higher position taking the lower back out making it more legs. Kept my back nice and fresh for deadlifts. Didn't seem to sort the wonky Ness so it's not the fact I'm not in the middle of the bar it's either me that's wonky or a shoulder flexibility issue have a video to upload some point.

Pleased with the deadlifts was attempting 240x3 when my back exploded in the summer on the 2nd rep.

Sting rays the front one manta is the back, always thought these ranked along side a bit if pipe lagging but am impressed. Think I'll go bare back for my all out set day and stay with this for my multi set day. Lower Back felt really fresh going into deadlifts

Recovery day today
Squats 150x3x3 pissed about filming from behind to check for the wonky Ness. Come to the conclusion it is a grip/shoulder issue not sure how to sort
Press off pins 65x5x5
Wide grip chins 12 then 9
Close grip chins 9
Fat gripz curls 42x2x8

Not trained for a few crap days where training wasn't a priority but trained yesterday

Squats 200x5 6 would have gone and might have hit 7
Bench 125x5
Power cleans 95x2,2,2,1,2

First one on the 4th set went up too easy and nearly went over a kettlebell behind me and threw me off for the 2nd rep turned into a high pull

Had the bright idea of Red Bull washed down with 3 spoons of rocket fuel coffee before training was off my tits but naseous.

Manta ray high bar squats 172x3x5
Press off pins 77x5x5
Decided against deadlifts as felt I would throw up ill do them tomorrow.

Couple of hours later went to a boot camp class with the Mrs and pissed it didn't realise how fit I was would have struggled with this a few months ago.

Never managed deadlifts on Tuesday as I forgot I had a parents evening, by the time I got home from work I was ready for some wine instead

Yesterday only had half a hour to train so had a quick one
Bench 117x3x5 117x4 110x5
Wide grip chins 13 then 8
Close grip chins 9

Not updated in ages had a mental year, split with the Mrs in August so no longer have access to the garage having to make do with the local xcercise for less, made a decent showing at yorkshires strongest man under 105s coming 4th which was way better than last years last but impinged my shoulder on the 2nd event and its still not right yet.

Basically having a quick push and pull day straight after work as quick as possible to keep childminder costs down.

I`ll keep this going for motivation but theres nothing glamorous in my training

Weds

Leg press again knees to ears 150x12 150x12

Converging incline press thingy machine 50per side 10,8,5

Incline bench 50x2x15

Leg weights look pitiful compared to past glorys but experimenting with going well below parallel


Friday

Normally would deadlift but had to deadlift tuesday so didnt fancy doing them again 3 days later and day after squats

Strict press 60x3x9
One arm row machine 60x2x8
Seated converging press thingy 54x2x9 54x8
diverging pull down 79x2x8

Pace was picked up a bit today as I had to get ben from the childminders, squats didnt feel right sometime my quads feel really tight and a weird feeling as though the fibres are rubbing on each other today was one of those days

Yesteady. Some one turned the gravity knob up but the allonby wouldn't be defeated

Strict press 60x3 x 10
One arm Row machine 60x2x10
Seated press machine 54x2x10 54x4 just ran out of steam
Chins 3x6 first time doing these since I smashed my shoulder up wasnt happy with the number of reps
